Okay, I have resolved the problem, but my question is, why would objectdock be causing such a problem?? I turned off objectdock and the problem is solved.

Sorry Guys, I'm not a techie on this kind of stuff. Where do I find what my paging file is?? The graphics controller is an Intel® 82845g/gl/ge/pe/gv Graphics controller. The Version is 11/2004 Anti-virus is AVG7.1.394 Iam using ZoneAlarmPro 7.1.744.001. I am running Adsubtract, objectdock, tweakram5.5 and windowblinds 5.01 and cursorXP. and whatever default system things are running. I haven't changed any of the hardware or software other than running a Windows update. I run a virus scan about every three days. I haven't defragged my disk Haven't run a disk cleanup Haven't run a registry cleanup I did run Windows Live OneCare before I left for vacation. I cannot get Alt f4 to work either. SimCity will close if I don't do a save city. It only freezes if I do a save city Sorry Again, I hope this new info helps Oh, I did a DXDIAG this morning, it tells me there is nothing wrong

Okay, I have uninstalled it completely even removing the items from the registry and completely reinstalled everything. It still will not close without restarting my computer. Task manager does not work.

Update: Even after uninstalling and reinstalling it still will not close. I even started a new region and started a new city.

Thank you all for your help. I have tried all of these things, including uninstalling and reinstalling the game and it still does it. I tried saving the city first, it foze when i tried saving the city. I had to restart the machine as task manager would not even come up after repeated attempts. Is there a corrupted file in the region that I created that could be causing this. It doesn't just happen with one city in this region.

I am using windows xp sp2. I have tried using task manager, it does not work. This problem only started this week. Two weeks ago before I went on vacation everything was running fine. And yes, my computer was shut off while I was on vacation

My SimCity will not close. When I end a city and click on save and quit SimCity Freezes and I have to restart my machine. I am running a pentium 4 2.4 gig processor with 756 memory, an ATI 6m meg video card. I am using SimCity 4 Deluxe

How do I download the SC4 Tool, I can't find any download links??
