    pmiller - no map is unusable - challenging but NEVER unusable. In fact I would say your roses or shires map had more difficult terrain than any map of mine ..............

    OK guys here it is by popular demand - a map created for all you patriotic Americans. The "hills" that make up the stripes of the flag are VERY steep - so this map is not easy to play on - but hey, wheres the pioneering american spirit ??? lol

    I was asked to make a bigger map with large cities - so here it is. Its a nice map to play on the hills are gentle without too many bumbs :-) Comprises 25 large cities (5 x 5)

    For all you patriotic Brits - a map created from an image of the Union Jack (UK Flag). This is actually version 3 - the previous 2 looked good but were almost impossible to play on !! Hopefully I've got it right this time :-) It will only render properly if you whistle "Land of hope and glory" hehehehe

    OK here it is as promised - another map made from a fractal image. This map will be a lot easier to play on as I have smoothed the terrain - there are no nasty jagged rocky bumpy lumpy bits lol. Despite the VERY steep slopes its easy to build roads over the rolling mountains, and the buildings carve themselves beautifully into the hillsides :-)

    Thx Canuck - I wasnt sure where the poppy was used, but I guess its definately used throughout the British Commonwealth nations :-)

    Today is Nov 11 - throughout the world it is Rememberance/Armistice/Veterans day. This is my tribute to the millions of men and women who have given thier lives in war. The map is created from a greyscale image of a poppy - the symbol of rememberance in UK. Wouldnt it be nice if the whole world was like SimCity ......................

    Heres a map for all you guys who like water transport, lots of nice rivers with gentle banks on which to place ferry terminals, marina's, etc. I will also be easy to get bridges, subways, and water pipes across the rivers as the water is not too deep :-)

    This is my second map in what is likely to become a series of maps created from actual photographs of Wales. This map was created from a grayscale image of a bay in West Wales, the surf on the waves of course is white, which the renderer interprets as high mountains, the mountains in the background are dark so the rendering interprets that as deep water - take a look at the greyscale image and it will all make sense !!! lol For anyone who likes tunneling, this is the map for you - enjoy :-)

    This is my first attempt at map making, I created this map from a greyscale conversion of an actual photograph of a beautiful lake and mountain scene in Wales. This version has an ammended config bitmap :-)
