Now THAT is Gotham City. The dirty alleys and empty streets perfectly capture the decay of this once great city like you mentioned in the introduction. It reminds me of Detroit's inner city. Graffitti, garbage, the works. Great job.

Wow. A really raw, emotional update. It has a little bit of everything--action, guns, drama. Great stuff. I love Stromwell's look when he stares at Zucco after Batman leaves and starts picking up the newspaper. No words can describe that. It was also interesting to see Bruce's flashback of that night at Crime Alley and the parallels that he and Dick share. They are indeed two lost souls who found each other.

Pretty impressive, but images are supposed to be 800x600 max. The coastal feel is nice though.

Subtletly...subtlety is good...

Alright! We're getting back to the grim and gritty back alleys of Gotham. And Batman sure is intimidating. Love the silhouette of him cracking his knuckles. Can't wait to see the confrontation between Stromwell and the Dark Knight. The city shots blend in beautifully as well. It's almost like they're not there...

I love how you weave in between shots to the rope until it finally snaps. Great visuals. As for the story itself--another unfortunate tragedy in Gotham City. Should've never come here in the first place.
-
Great Part 1. There's a wonderful moment in the end when Dick looks back at Tony Zucco. There's a look of uncertainty and worry etched on his face.
-
The lighting effects are gorgeous and the circus is very well-made. Nice use of the modular amusement park. That Zucco guy is suspicious though...
-
Beautiful title cards. I particularly like your version better, the silhouette makes for some dramatic visuals.
-
Great skyline. I particularly like the sunken expressway.
-
Quite an amazing zoo there. I love the complexity of the paths and the animal enclosures in detail. Very well done.
-
Fantastic! It's nice to bring the blimps back--full-circle. I guess I guessed wrong about the Man-Bat;s identity. But maybe that WAS the point.
-
Hmm. Fishy. If you ask me, it's the guy who slipped out of the room...but we have yet to find out what the bat creature looks like.
-
Another beautifully done update. Gotham City is a work of art.
-
The story's progressing quite nicely and the similarities in cars and buildings are great as always.
-
Ah, the meinhosen style of city hall-building. My favorite. Looks very political--nice choice of BATs.
-
A beautiful update, story-wise and SC4 images... It keeps getting better and better.
-
Beautiful title cards! It really reminds me of those 30s noir films when the credits used to come first.

Demented humor, indeed. I actually found myself laughing at some parts. -The awkward silence when Charlie holds his hand out in front of him after cussing out Joker. -"Oh, NOW he signals." -Out of gas, out of gas, out of gas. -"There's your two cents." -"My boss--my wife--braces--meatloaf." Haha. By now he's just rambling. -"Oh please, I've seen your car. I'm not bargain hunting, kid." -I HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF ONE YET! Too bad this won't continue on 'till later. I'll take whatever you give me.

Rereading the updates again. Man, the shots of Arkham are just amazing and the new batsuit in the movie is gonna kick ass.
-
Wow. The new Dark Knight movie is gonna KILL! As for the update itself, way to end the storyline in a high note. So the Joker's escaped...this should be fun.
-
Nothing's going to be the same again...ever.

Interesting. I won't spoil it here, but the link with Ace Chemicals and Martha Kane is an interesting one. This has obviously been planned out in advanced. I also noticed that Jack's wife is named Jill. All these little details are everywhere and it's what makes this journal so great! I love the use of jeronij's canal in the update. Well-done.
-
Aha! Now I know where I've heard the name Alan Moore before, he wrote V for Vendetta. As for the update, poor Jack's getting pounded. He's definitely the weakest card in the deck.
-
All right, new storyline! Interesting new twist in his origin...Failed comedian, eh?
