    Well spa, it is Alaska.... the good news is that the mountains are not overkill. there is plenty of valleys to play on as well. In reality, Alaska doesn't have widespread population anyway, so some rural towns would do nicely. I would like to see someone use this map in a city journal. if you decide to send me a pm. I would like to see what one may do with it. I don't have the time to do what many of you have done with your journals. also PLEASE RATE. thank you.

    This is a map of Alaska, (there is some Russia & Canada. I do have a larger version I can upload depending upon requests. I didn't want to wait for the rendering. I got the topographic map from NOAA's website.

    That's just way to big. I think if you were to resize your original pic to something more reasonable, it would be a nice pic/map.

    The fountain looks nice in the pic above, however i don't understand what you said, but i guess you are saying that this is a money cheat. looks nice but i would prefer a version without the money cheat. first post!

    I used a sat photo i found on the web with a river in it. It was titled Rio Negro, (translated Black River). I don't know where it is though. I left it this way so individually you may soften as you desire. I personally recommend lowering the entire landscape about 3 times to get a nice look. The size is 513 x 513.... 16 Med Cities.

    This is as close as I can find for a elevation accurate for the state of North Carolina. You may need to smooth the "Outer Banks" in game. This region has everything from beaches to mountains.

    Yes, I am aware of the ingame shots, As I said with version 1, this is my 1st and 2nd attempts, I am still learning the how to's, to get the ingame pics. when i figure it out, i am intending to u/l the ingame pic. I appreciate the positive feedback... Keep it coming.

    Version 2, softened the landscape up a bit. This is from a satelitte photograph of Hurricane Fran 1996. She was a Category 4 as it plowed through the Bahamas, and later hit the Carolinas as a Category 3, plowing through the Triangle (Raleigh-Durham area) still as a Category 1.
