I have this city, pop of around 101K (large map). There is this one R sector that is zoned R$$$, but I was only getting R$. I had superdupulous coverage of everthing. So, I decided to give it a boost. I grabbed an R$$$ Skyscraper Condo from landmarks (I have the plopmodd) and set it down in there. In a matter of sim days, R$$$ buildings start growing all over the place there!! So I think about demoing the Plop R$$$ (since they pretty much abandom after some time), but I didn't see a "No Car" Zot! So I thought hmmm.... and left it there. Well, after 4 sim years, it is STILL there!!!!! Not Kidding!! So I decide to run an experiment! I plop a bunch of other R$$$ Skyscrapers in areas where there are small buildings. THEY STAY THERE FOR INFINITY TOO!!!!! I don't know why or how, but the R$$$ plops work! I tried it in several other large cities (most of which being 50 to 90K), and they're fine!! So I try an R$$$ plop an a small city (around 10K), and it doesn't work... so then I plop an R$, but it stays! *bing!!* Could someone explain? Thanks.

Yes, it does. And I didn't plop the buildings on R buildings or, heck, even in an R zone!

Ok, quick question! You see, I just destroyed a bunch of a forest in my game , and I need to replant it. However, when I try to plant more, they are all baby trees and DO NOT look right! So I tried getting god mode up with that "Alt+Ctrl+Del" cheat. The only problem is that when I press it, it minimizes SC4 and brings up the task manager. Am I doing something wrong here?? My CJ is at stake here! Could someone help?? I need to get God Mode activated after I have a city built. Thanks.

Ok, I know that alot of you appreciate the classic SC2 buildings, so I thought we could start an SC2 to SC4 Bat Project. I've gathered all the buildings from my game and put them in the spotlight for you: What do you think? FYI, these are only the biggest of the big buildings. If you have a request for a different building, let me know (here) and I will post it. I hope this will help anybody who wants to recreate an SC2 building. Good luck.

What do you think of different cultures? What's the first word that comes to your mind when you hear "Japan", "UK", "Australia", etc.? Well, it was a survey on a site I read not too long ago, and I though I'd bring it up. Here's a list of statistics for what people in the US think when they hear one of the examples I listed above... Sumos, manners, sitting on the floor to eat... so? Britain: 89% "Accent" - "Tally hoe!" "Eh chuck?" Mama mia now that'sa biga stereotypa! 89% "Too medival" - So what?? What's wrong with Castles?? They look really nice. What's next? The Wall of China? I guess people just want "modern" now. 70% "Tiny place" - Urrr.... oook. Yeah, it may be smaller than other countries, but does that even matter? 64% "Behavior" - Pitifully ridiculus stereotype if you ask me. I'm haveing a like-like problem, only the message says: "BSC Antivirus WARNING: Bogus Lot This lot has failed the BSC lot identification test and has been deemed unworthy. It will be removed from your system when you restart your computer. (some other stuff I can't remember) Lot Name: Too dreadful to say. (a bunch of Hexidecimal code) Action Taken: Lot removed from system." This was the Maxis Garbage to Power thingy lot. I've already turned my computer on and off several times, but the lot is still there (the window still comes up though). It's annoying because I can't see the lot's stats. Also, it had a "Windows" bar style (like you see at the top of windows, like the webpage you're looking at right now ) It hasn't spread though... but still.... what the heck BSC??? P.S. I haven't even gone NEAR SC4.com (probably because I get an error everytime I see the site lol)

I thought it would be interesting if I brought this up... well, most of these computers I own I got for free (and for, like, 10 bucks at garage sales, lol), and I thought I'd talk about them. My favorite is my Apple IIgs (the picture is from Wiki). I must admit, it is still fun to use, especially having a color screen and very good performance (unfortunatly, talking in term's of Today's computers, it's performance is sub-standard, but what do I care? ). I use it every once in a while. I got it (or at least my parents did) in 1989. It has the ROM 3, 7 MBs of RAM, 2 CD-rom Drives (from a garage sale), an accelerator card, 10BASE-T Ethernet card, and 4 games (California Games, Lemmings(rofl), Paperboy, and Zany Golf). Luckily, the computer still lives. However, the monitor has gone out several times and has been starting to get worse.... R.I.P. I think the one we got was a floop, because it was already acting up really bad. And then I have one heck of a screamer: the G5. I pretty much only use it when my creative side is itching (I think Macintoshes are for creative people, really) I use Soundtrack Pro, Photoshop CS2 (and every other CS2 thing), Enigmo 2, Widgets, and Safari (for my Wikiholism). On Friday the Maxis Sims 2 BBS was hacked! It was an automated register by a "robot". The BBS (including all forums) was spammed with hundreds of advertising and junk threads.This is obviously (that I know of) the worst hack event I've seen. The BBS is closed. It is expected to take a very long time (an estimate of at least 1-2 weeks or more) to get the place back up and running. Illegal Hackers, to me you are all losers. I hope there hasn't been extensive damage to the BBS. Also, I should note that the use of "LIPs" (Letter Identification Pictures) has been suggested. Here is an example: Made myself! :-P (These are meant to prevent automated registries(sp?) since computers cannot read pictures - only humans can)

I have a lot.... STUPID: When I was in Japan about 4 years ago, I went to the theatre () to go see.... ah dogonnit, I can't remember what the movie was (I think it was an Anime movie). Well I was hating it really bad, so I snuck out and tried to go see a different one. Well ya know what? The staff manager just happened to be hummin' down the hall. I got caught and he made me pay for another movie. VERY STUPID: Last year I was getting frustrated with the computer we had, so I slammed the keyboard holder whazamacallit thingamajigger into the desk really hard and it broke! Buh-bye 2-weeks of allowance! STUPIDER: Before we moved, I was goofing off in the garage with some tools. So I play a little with the tire of the car, per see? Right as dad starts to drive out, KLANK!!! The wheel pops off, creating several cracks in the axle, and paint damage. Luckily I never got caught, but I haven't done that again! (hits forehead on desk) STUPIDEST: And then I broke ANOTHER something! We were at the music store looking for a synthisizer. Whilst my parents are at the other end, I start playing with some conga drums. Then I find some sticks and start playing the Animal Crossing tune beat on them. Then I start poking them with the sticks! And that results in a big hole in one. So what do I do? Run away. BRAIN-DAMAGED STUPID: The most obvious one was when I was such a (too hard to describe!) to ST..... sorry guys.
