I know Hockey Town is Detroit and all but are you doing a replica of detroit or just your own version of it? Itd be interesting if you replicated it since I live outside detroit. But good luck either way and kick ass hockey team

I dont see how it could offend anyone. It seems like he read a book he liked and found it interesting. And its not like he can make Magma and Evil souls come out of his region either. I would like to see what he thinks the pit of hell looks like. And if some kid doesnt want to play a 'Hell' region then dont download it. RiverCocytus wont make you (I hope). And by the way Cocytus nice job so far, in a little here I may need a new region and id like to see how you will make it come to be. Later

Welcome to my hopefully first full City Journal of Harper Woods. To start it off Harper Woods so far is my most faved region. Right now it consists of 4 different Cities. This city is one of the most important cities. It has a current PoP. of 3115 and much industrial. And is a major rail-way for the current Region. Brighton is even more important. It IS the major rail-way city of the region. Which you'll see later. It also has a major industrial port and area. And a PoP. of 2390 and continuing to grow. The city of Trenton is just currently a small residence of 959 but home to some more of the wealthy. It will currently be transformed into a big agricultural city. Now this is a little delightful city. Home to 1004 people it has a small industrial area. Another city with some nice rail-way usage it will someday become a big city. This is just a preview of these cities and definatly be more to come. To construction and updates and some nice tricks or techniques I do. In the next update ill go more in-depth what mods and what not I use. I hope you guys enjoyed this and will keep with it Thanks!

Thank you there Kumba for that reply. But I gotta build alot more skill to be like Jeronji =). And also PM me or somthing about that trade route you were talking about. But besides that I want to try and get an update tonight. As I said it will be quite nice with what ive done. I updated some more in alot of the cities but I still even have 2 more cities to show you guys! But oh well I hope to see you guys later tonight when I hopefully get it up.

Whats goin on guys I appreciate the comments. Thanks RadioheadFan making use of everything I got takes hours but its worth it. Also to you others who commented once again, I appreciate it. In a little bit im going to try and get an update. There is much done and updated. Im starting to get high-rises and im starting a very $$$ wealthy spot across the bay in Brighton. So I got about 4 updates to do. I have an updated Garden Heights update I need to do, show you guys the new and improved industrial park in Brighton and show you across the bay at the '$$$ Park' as id like to say but is still in development (Alot to do). And I might show you guys the agricultural part ive done in the other city but I seem to be stuck at the moment there I hope you guys will come-back tonight (Whenever my lazy ass decides to update) and see some of my updates. Im gona try and get a good amount of pictures up. So stay tuned and thanks guys! Psyko

Well I hope you guys enjoyed those, im appreciating the comments im receiving. I hope you all had a good new-years and other holidays. I have worked quite a bit on the region. More planning then building. I plan on moving into the agricultural aspects down near the south. But I always LOVE building the metropolises and such so I know sooner or later youll see the city aspect come out of me. If you guys have any questions and what not let me know, ill be glad to help if im willin . I also want to get an update up tonight but I want to try and get to a second page so the first one aint loaded in pictures as it already is but just to make it easier on people. But as I said im going to show you Section 2 of Garden Heights where some wealthy people moved in. And a little region update is needed I suppose. I started moving on down. I hope to catch you guys up tonight and enjoy the pics again. Later Psyko

Thanks a ton for the replys. Real glad to see that people with such great journals such as you louisville327 with your Eureka CJ let me know im on the right trank. And metasmurf your Arques CJ looks real great, and those other CJ's are somewhat of an inspiration into my own towns and I know future cities. And pickled_pig thanks for enjoying this, im glad people really like it and it has been somewhat hard to use rail-way I still got some of it unused in some towns. But with the time I got im going to show you an updated Garden Heights as in the first update I showed you. I changed the industrial section alot. I made it more land sufficient or I just basicly got more industry and made it more smooth looking. Here are a series of photos that I took during the transaction. If you guys want to see pretty much the first step I took refer to This image. So here we go, I first started off and erased the old part of the industrial section and road-ways. I also destroyed those wind-mills and water towers and moved em as you'll see. I started to add the Marrast Embankment Set also and terraformed surrounding areas. So I continued to erase and terraform and plop down what needed to be ploppled. It was actully pretty smooth going and what I wanted to do came quickly to me. And so eventually everything was erased and mostly terraformed at this point. I also started to fill in the missing tiles and finish the point near the new powerplant and I started to terraform the outer coast. After that I started to use the coast and put up more Embankments. At this point most of the terraforming is done and all that I needed to do was do the coast and lay down the new network. And so on and so on this is what it ended up being before I added the finishing layout and some eye-candy and some industrial. And of all pictures showing step-by-step of a project everyone loves to see the outcome. By using some of the Fences and some more of the Marrast Embankments I thought it turned out pretty well I even have a little more for another big high-tech building which I hope comes soon to complete the look. I really hope those images arent eye-bending or anything. It wasnt that bad as a single image I swear =P. But the good thing is that that is only half the update * And don't worry, it'll be different style images =) *. I still got a whole nother section to show you guys that you would all like. And I also hope im not straining those 56'kers out there, im not great at down-sizing images. But I hope you enjoyed this set of pictures and will hopefully stay-tuned till tommorow for my other update. Later. Oh, and have a great New-Years if I dont see you guys again, I know ill be celebrating National Hang-Over day Ah well, once again- later. Psyko

Since I havent had an update recently I hope to get a good update here. I plan on showing you guys the town of Brighton. Right now its still in the building process. Much terraforming is to be done and much to be planned out. Hopefully the growth of the other towns will turn out nice to match Brighton. So here we go, first; Here we have an image of the updated region. Im sure you can tell that the square is the town of Brighton that you will be viewing today but the light shaded red are the areas of either terraforming or the parts pf some new works I have done which ill show you guys later tonight. So no, its not bloodshed. Brighton is the regions main transportator. With pretty much all railways connecting and then dispursing to all parts of the region. Its current population is 2566 with alot of recent R$$ and R$$$ moving in with the great job expansion. It doesnt have very many Commercial with only 853 jobs provided but the Industrial sector is much bigger with 1899 jobs provided. To give you a preview of how big the railways are in Brighton here is an updated Region view of the Traffic view and a little pic of the Train station that is being used. Allright to start it off there will probaly be about 5 images here. This first one is sort of a 'Terraformed Pyramid' with alot of this town's higher wealthy people. You can also see another train station which leads up to the picture you saw previously. And it leads to the other town of Trenton. Here youll see the middle and more bustling part of this town. With the lake there that really brought in the people to move in. You can also see the Train station again in full view. Also pretty much anything below the Brighton sign is undeveloped as you can see with some terraforming going on. This part of town is alot like the last picture you saw, you see the other part of the railway going down to the industrial section which youll see next and a part of undeveloped land which will be put to good use. You also see some more of the residents who live here and most of the commercial that are here. Allright here is the industrial section, its not much but its most of the jobs provided in this town. It has some nice ports which delivers goods to the other invisible cities not yet created and you can see the end of the railways with about 200 commuters annually. A little close-up of the section I would also like to give you guys a traffic view and other information about the town but I sort of ran out of time. And I dont want to show the other info until I get more of the land completed. But the education right now is in the middle nothing too high though. I got low crime and have almost full fire coverage to put it into aspects. Also thanks for lookin at this, I know ive been lazy I guess and not shown you guys very much but I assure you the time will come, the time will come Also I want to show you an update of the first city I showed you guys of Garden Heights but ill get that tonight. I got a real bad-ass update of that industrial section and some real beautiful eye-candy that I made. So I hope you guys stay-tuned and enjoy these towns! Later

I dont know if it was sort of a joke, but I find those planes hitting those buildings quite offensive. I was in those buildings none but 2 days before that edited potty mouth, Mr. C. happened. But, it is a game and you do as you please.
-
Ah yes that is the region and creator, thanks for pointing that out. Mallow is certaintly one of my favorite region creators. Also sorry for the lack of updates. I have been quite busy lately with just stupid things. Im gona try and get an update today like tonight or tommorow. We might get another snow-day so we'll see how this will have to go. I have been playing a little bit so there will be a region update eventually. But progress is slow right now and just waiting for the weekend so I can get some playing/updating time. So I hope you guys stick with this a little. Ill talk to you guys later.
-
Thanks for some of the early comments. And MsD to use a diagonal street you don't plop them. Hmm how can I expain, Plop down a single street on one tile. Go any direction by 1 tile. And do it again as if you were trying to make it diagonaly. So you have a sort of a Z shape. And when you reach a certain point it will make it diagonal. Youll get the hang of it. And no, I used a region uploaded on the STEX, and forbid I forgot the name, props to the original creator. Other then that I might get an update up later tonight or tommorow. I hope to see you guys then.
-
Well, interesting I didnt know there were alot of us Other then that here is the update I promised, I want to give you guys a good start to this City Journal. Here is the whole region. Which is quite big. So youll have to click Here And what good is a region view without the traffic view? And once again the image is too big for me to post here so Here is the other link for the traffic view. As you can see it has some nice rail-ways going all over as I was talking about earlier. Here's some info also: I enjoy Cycledogg

Thanks for the comments. And yes dhoppeii I do live in that region. Suprised you recognized some of the names =P. I live in Plymouth Mi, Besides that expect an update tommorow on the beautifull city of Garden Heights

Ive seen many beautiful CJ's around here and wanted to try out my first one. But no way my first city. Amiela Bay houses just a little over 100K people. With my biggest city holding 80K of that. With 3 small cities and one other large city being built. The first shot is the region and traffic view. This next shot is of the satelite view. And this is the only part of the region that im currently working on. Hopefully tonight I can get a update. With pictures of all the different cities there are. So far I hope your interested and will keep watching this.

Allright sorry for the lack of updates. In this update I will show you the recently completed city of Auburn Hills. This city is more residential then the other two cities with a ton of Industry and Commercial. ______________________________________________________________________________________ City: Auburn Hills Population: 21179 Commercial: 13284 Industrial: 5166 Mostly High Tech Information: Even with the population with 21179 there are currently 0 R$ living here. With about 4800 R$$$ with the rest R$$. This is also the first city with a new monorail system that im trying to put place. It doesnt seem very effective other then show. But it is used a little bit. Here is one of the main commercial areas of this city. And also one of the most beautiful parts of the city with the small lake and resort there. This area also has the most traffic with traffic going from Grosse Hills to Auburn Hills. Here is also a very beautiful spot here in Auburn Hills. The start of the monorail system and also the start of the avenue. With two one way roads following the back end of the system. With commercial scattered along that one way road too. This also shows some of the homes in this city. Here is an overview of about the city. As you can see alot of the road layout is symetrical (sp) and fits together very well. Also this shows all of the industry (top) in this city. This also shows most of the monorail system leading from the Housing across the avenue toward more commercial and the industry. Here is pretty much the other half of the city. This shows the main highway in this city which has some pretty good usage. This mostly is the focus on the different types of 'communites' I like the houses to be in. With a sort of circular road way with houses all around it. With a lake there too . Here is the upper left part. This shows where the golf course and the university is. Also the local radio station. But I hope you enjoy that update and city. And sorry for not getting a good update in a while. Hopefully next time I can show you my other city of Brighton. Which borders both Grosse Hills and Auburn Hills with quite a bit of nice things to show you. I hope you guys stay tune with this CJ! Thanks...
-
I appologize for the lack of updates. I just came back from my camping trip. But I got a ton of new things to show you guys. Im gona try and get 2 updates going today. This first one right here is of the new region. Region: Amiela Bay Population: 164872 Commercial: 88969 Industrial: 56539 Still Mostly High Tech ______________________________________________________________________________________ Here is the satellite view. I started a new city based off of the layouts from Grosse Hills and the other city Brighton. Which is outlined in blue. And also in blue is new workings from Grosse Hills. *Which I will all showcase later* Now here is the road networking. Ive got a little bit more highway going but more importantly im trying to get a good monorail system going. And to make everything all symetrical. Which is hard! I hope you stay interested. Which I will try and get another update going tonight.
-
Much thanks guys, im glad you guys like this CJ and will stick around with it. Im gona try and get an update soon with close-up pictures of my other city. Probaly when im done with it which could be a couple days. Till then I could do the other cities.
-
Well I got busy recently, with my birthday and School Photos and things. So I bring you a region update for now. Region: Amiela Bay Population 142209 Commercial: 74869 Industrial: 44951 Still Mostly High Tech ______________________________________________________________________________________ Here is the new traffic view of the region. This time around I focused on the suburbs alot more. Outlines in the blue is all that I got done which added about 40K people to the region, as you can see its pretty symmetrical and is pretty much all resigential $$ and $$$. Also you can see the borders here. As last time I failed to show you guys. Here is the satellite view. You can see that besides the new suburbs Grosse Hill now has quite a bit more skyscrapers. With a population of 104K now. I also re-worked both major cities industrial parks. To make them fit in with the other road works. Which I must say worked really well with my sort of rule of '6' which ill explain and show you guys later. Enjoy the update and ill try and get a city preview up soon!
-
Thanks for the comments. Later today ill get my next city in here to show you guys.
-
Damn I didnt even know that, thanks for the tip.

Ok here is where I start my region. Showing the more in-depth cities and the region growth as a whole. Region: Amiela Bay Population: 101600 Commercial: 50982 Industrial: 36781 Mostly High Tech ______________________________________________________________________________________ For this first update you may want to know some things. 1. No major cheats are used. (I use lots like Pegs Garbage Chute for help) 2. I try and use as much realism as possible, but also remember this is a game, some things may not be 3. I got a ton of Lots/Bats from the STEX used in my region. 4. But I dont use alot of plops. Zoning is there for a reason. ______________________________________________________________________________________ City: Grosse Hills Population: 80426 Commercial: 22782 Industrial: 12807 Mostly High Tech Information: This was the first city in the region of Amiela Bay. It holds almost all of the regions population. And is mainly high wealth sims. Also with most of the High Tech industrial jobs are located here. Here is an image of the more wealthy. The main part here is the pyrimad I sculpted out of a smaller mountain. Also the main Avenue runs through here that leads up to most of the High Tech and neighboring cities. Here is the close up of the High Wealth pyrimad. With the mayors house and some of the most wealthiest of homes. This is just down to the left of the last full picture. This is where most of High Wealth skyscrapers are located. Also up toward the left is the University with one of the regions best hotels out in the water there. Here is whats next. With some more of the cities High Tech industry up to the right and also alot of the commercial. This is also the more undeveloped parts of this city. As you can see some of the terraforming im doing next to the industry. But im not really sure what to do next. Here is the next part of the undeveloped part. It will have a future bigger industrial park. Which also holds the Disease Research Center, and Advanced Research Center, I think its called . Also down near the bottem left is sort of the center part of the city of where all the highways lead too. Close up of the downtown district and the surrounding park. Also with the soccer stadium with the cruise ship. This is pretty much the end of what I have so far with this city. With new high wealth moving in it may change later on. And ill be sure to update. Since ive posted about 7 pictures already. If you have any questions or want any more close up pictures let me know. Ill be glad to do it. Next ill be doing the city of Sterling Bay with about 15K population.

Man I must say nice region. But cut that stuff out of the pics. Like the flare in the upper right or left corners. It makes the images look like crap.

Turning Lanes - Feedback and Testing
Psyko replied to the7trumpets's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Ya, the textures are allright. As the post above mine I think you should take out the middle arrows. We all know its not a turn lane. Also try and make the arrows kind of round. As like the right turning arrow that would be very nice. -
Hey budweiserdude great job. Also I live in detroit. And lookin at the Joe Louis arm it doesnt look to size? But then again it is inside of a game =). And where at you live?
