  1. On the St. Twiggyan hospital, I saw its local funding drop $25 each month. (How do I make the simoleon sign by the way?) The healthcare funding bar keeps sliding to the left a little each month and it doesn't do that on other cities. (At least not that I've seen.) How do I fix that bug? (Oddly enough, Ambulance funding stays constant, however.) (And no, the other funding bars that I've seen do not slide in the same manner. Only the healthcare bar does.)
  2. COME ON! WHERE ARE YOU GUYS??? My healthcare budget keeps AUTO-SLIDING DOWN and I NEED YOUR HELP! Please, offer ways to fix this (that is reasonable enough; nothing smart-alecky like "obliterate your city" or "uninstall your game.") Thanks.
  3. XDesign Subterranean Avenue Network Prerelease 1

Can you zone over this? In real life, highways are built underground because they're meant to zone over. It frees up land for development. Therefore, can you zone over this particular underground highway in the game?
  4. I demolished a statue for redevelopment purposes but as I was looking for it to put back, the mayor statue appeared nowhere in the menu! What caused it to disappear like it and how can I get it back? Thanks.
  5. My statue is gone from the menu! Any idea why?

When I upload my city someday, some sites detect whether cheating was ever used or not. I'd rather not cheat. I'd just like a mod that'll fix that statue bug.
  6. My statue is gone from the menu! Any idea why?

Bones, thank you very much for letting me know. Is there a mod that fixes the bug? If not, can someone create one? I feel that entering cheat codes onto my cities will rapidly evaporate the "fun factor" in this game.
  7. Well Qurlix, your library book is way overdue. Just kidding. Did you find it yet? I look forward to reading it.
  8. ...city maps? How many feet long is from one end of a tile to another? How many miles long is from one end of a small, medium, and large map to another? Also, what is the area of a tile and those three sizes of maps? A region I've been working on has 12 large maps from one end to the other, so its total area is 144 large maps in all. How many miles is that from one end of this region to the other, and how many square miles is it? What real-world State, Province, or Country would the region's size compare it to?
  9. Ok, 16x16 meters per tile. How many tiles are in a small, medium, and Large map? It's so I can finally figure out my region's size.
  10. Hello? I'd like to know please. How many miles long is a region from one end to the other, when the length consists of 12 Large City Maps (same for the width)? By the way, if I wanted to make a region that was 100,000 miles (yes, one-hundred-thousand miles) from one end to the other (same distance long and wide), how many large cities long would that be, how long would it take to generate such a big region on a computer made today, and what computer would I need to generate such a map in less than one hour?
  11. My city of Hikousen has been in the red for most of its ~193 year history. With a population of 644,753, the current income is
  12. Blah, that park is too cheatsome. Now, where can I find the giant hospitals and which ones do you recommend? Btw, should I post the yousendit URLs for my city (and neighbor cities)?
  13. I think I already re-made my city this way. Did you want to receive the city's download URL too?
  14. Here's what I have from STEX; Ninja Boulevard Station (1x4 station that does bus, taxi, and subway w/ capacity of 25k people) Akin's Air Purification Plant (it appears that its power source is pollution. It feeds off of pollution to power the plant, so the byproduct is sterile air.) I used to have an Air Force Base; too much land, no income, removed it. Then there's the mod that downloaded a LOT of extensions to roads (avenue-over-rail, turn-left intersection lanes, light-rail (trams), pedestrian squares. I think if you look through my previous posts, they'll talk about such things. There were also roundabouts for roads, Y-Intersections for avenues and/or highways, and much, much more new flexibilities to the transportation system. It came in one mod, but I forgot the name.) Oh well, here's my city. Please let me know how it is to you. Update: PM sent. Did you receive them?
  15. Yesterday, I was playing on the city of Hikousen, a metropolis of 600,000+ people on the extreme lower-right-hand corner of the region. I redid many parts of the city by removing extra streets and re-designing residential and commercial areas into big blocks, with parks in the center. Even did one industrial patch too. After installing a new subway system, and putting in plenty of Ninja Boulevard Stations, everything in the city appeared to end on a good note. Now this morning, I woke up and tried to load Hikousen again, but the whole game would crash onto the desktop after a few seconds. I've tried many things, even restarting the computer, and saving Hikousen right when it loads, but to no avail. After pressing the Game Saved! OK button, it would still crash. Again, it was just fine the night before, and when I load Keihikouki and Ogetsu, the only other cities in the region, they stay loaded; the game doesn't crash there, only in Hikousen. Now, how do I fix the city? What should I do to make Hikousen playable again? ADDENDUM: If anyone was going to say otherwise, it had nothing to do with the Ninja Boulevard Station downloaded building. I placed one in Ogetsu, saved it, exited the game, and reentered it. Ogetsu ran fine. 16. The residential zones are great from the get-go; they build skyscraping apartments of several thousand people (see the Zaidi one to the right?) However, the commercial zones start with either Drive-in Theaters and Wal-Mart-like retail centers (which are the best they can do at this stage.) This is despite all those plazas centering those blocks. There are parks centering the Residential blocks too, but that's where I see there's a lesser problem on the Residential zones; I don't see High-wealth penthouses build up. They start as medium and even low-wealth tenements. I thought at over 310k people, I'd be past several height limits. I already have a Chong, Inc. on the other side of the city and oh my, that's impressive! But anyways, these concerns occur when I either make new zones or re-zone for redevelopment. I already have a Medium Municipal Airport, as seen down on the lower right corner. I've already added many city enhancements (Advanced Research Center, for one) so what else could I possibly do to further develop the area on the photo? I hope to see gleaming skyscrapers there in due time. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Hikousen-Jun.%2010,%201711136826063.JPG align=baseline>
  17. Yes, Subways and Monorails will coexist. I plan on that. And what is Jeronij, like mayormommy said? And yes, I use roads, sometimes avenues, on the block I plan to build on, to smooth out inclines before placing zones. I don't like to lower mountain ranges too much however. I wish I had a way to keep them. In fact, are there mods to build cities WITHIN hills and cliffs, a la the Anasazis? I'd love a modern Anasazi city. Storms991, isn't that too small, with too many roads, too many (water) pipes? Why I zone zones way too big: 4x4 lots are the biggest that Residential & Commercial zones will develop. Any bigger and they stay vacant. I also want the biggest, (most) populous(t), tallest, fastest. I hoped that as many 4x4 zones as I could would make them as dense and tall as possible. Hey, wait a minute there! Don't they soon re-build into taller & taller buildings? How long should I wait for them to redevelop themselves? And if I could show you a residential area packed full of skyscrapers (on the other end of town), that'd be awesome for you to see. They were also zoned way too big. I wish I could just give you (a copy of) the city. What's your email, storms? And British, I hope to see what your city looks like so I can see how well your example works. Care to email me a copy?
  18. Blackbeard, see the elevated platforms? Those are monorail lines. I've even upgraded them from Elevated Rails. I guess Monorail lines didn't take care of the issue enough? Is it beneficial or harmful to space Monorail stations close together? I think it's harmful because the frequent stops might make them take longer, so I spaced them far apart: once every other block. But I'm wondering if the way stations are spaced matters. Monorails are supposed to go FAST, but I guess adding a Subway system may make things more adequate. Oh, and so you know, my city suffers a shortfall of 20k Simoleons each month. I only stay afloat by doing the Let It Burn missions whenever I need to or feel like it. What site lets you host the city files themselves, so I can provide a link for you to download it? See everything in my city, police coverage, education coverage, and so completely on, and determine what needs attention.
  19. Simens SC4 Photo Album

Simen, I wish I had your skills, man. And the time. Where exactly do I download those sets?
  20. They should want it right near the parks & other desirability inducers. No matter how many Plazas I place in the commercial zones, there isn't much beyond Drive-ins and Wal Marts. Even though the Zaidi apartment was a plus, the Residential zones are slower to respond. Commercial zones all started building their buildings at once, but residential zones take longer, and develop empty lots more farther apart in time from each other.
  21. Bronco River

Where do you get the buildings you call dams and how did you make those streets red?? Those dams aren't buildings I see anywhere in the game. All in all, great artwork! About the residential tiles, they need to have other tiles as part of the entire lot. It's as if you haven't heard of yards, driveways, and parking garages.
  22. My statue is gone from the menu! Any idea why?

I thought that just grays the statue out in the menu options. But do you know for sure that the statue really doesn't appear at all there when a player does what I did?
  23. I found the exception log. However, it doesn't support the .mdmp suffix. What do I do so I can attach and upload it?
  24. I get to see the part of the city that I saved at last, but no more than 5 seconds later does it just crash to the desktop. I don't see a pop-up showing any Exception Reports. However, if crash logs are saved somewhere, where can I find it.
