High Speed Rail vs. Bullet Train

They're both connected, they both are dragged across HSR stations.....it's just a bug, though nothing's perfect of course. I'll have to give it a try. Maybe my cities just have a natural repulsion towards HSR... EDIT: Holy crap, it worked! Apparently, it was a combination of having too many city-to-city connections (namely, roads), and the modification. Cutt off a few roads between cities, put a toll-booth here and there, install the mod....use hovers around 50% (and if I cut the highway alltogether, it skyrockets to around 200 percent...) Many thanks! -

I don't think this was mentioned, but BTM version 2 lacks street crossings, it just reverts back to monorail. They're both equally hard to get people to actually use in game, unfortunately. -
A bit of a problem, maybe someone can shed some light on it. I had a HSR line between two cities, with one station in each city, and about 70% usage in either. Great news. And then, I had to dismantle the stations. Since then, I've exactly reproduced the stations and rails--and there is zero usage in one city and about 12 people (not percent, people) usage in the other. If anything, the cities have grown. I've run the HSR rail through them on both sides. What could I have done wrong? I don't have a street crossing under the rail next to the station, so that's not it. Basically, the rail used to work, and now it doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm ashamed that I don't have a picture, but I've heard that an option was released for the HSR pack that allowed for paved bases on elevated tracks. I've tried the HSR thread where it was mentioned, no luck there. Does anyone know of this, or am I just chasing nothing?

EDIT: Sorry, double post combined with some weird forum glitch.

Thanks for the answer. As I stated above, I know the problem usually comes from dependencies (its kind of hard to find the prop a lot needs when it's not listed and there's no way of opening the file to find out). Shame to hear that the alternative wouldn't work. I've already downloaded the ElRail Facelift Mod. It's not perfect, but it's definitely a good start. I was actually hoping to find a concrete bottom for the new HSR (which is very cool, except for the issue of having an empty grass strip running through the middle of a superdense metropolis. Maybe the creators will add one additional. -

I'm looking for something that may or may not exist--I hope this is the right section. Did anyone ever create a filler that could ignore existing occupancy? Basically, ground filler that you could place on the same square as elevated rails and the like. This would also be very useful for buildings missing ground textures (unlisted dependencies, or what have you). I know of a few lots that ignore placement rules (you can put them everywhere, or at least everywhere on land), as well as lots that exist outside their placement squares. Was something like this ever created? It'd be quite handy if it were possible--just to have a concrete or grass filler. -

Thanks for the welcome! Though that still doesn't fix the problem with the region map, heh. -
Beaches look wierd in region view
Synthesis replied to bobbyrap's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I post here because this is the exact problem that I've mentioned in the other topic about Beaches... I've tried not doing anything--pausing the game, being zoomed in all the way, zooming out all the way, zooming in on an empty part of the ocean...no luck. Regardless of what you're doing, the game wants to render the underwater portion of shorelines, seawalls, and the like. Any other suggestions would be appreciate--I guess we just have to look for a way around it, since the bug itself is incorrectable. -
Ack, double post.
