I might say, before I continue, that a game is inherently supposed to be fun. Cities XL is not, it's frustrating. I've taken to re-installing Simcity 4 to restore my faith in City Builder games! - Note that the tech below seemed to be unaware of the "Trading Problem" they posted about on their web site.... That said... In response to the afore mentioned bug in the solo mode of Cities XL, here is the reply I recieved from cities xl support: Dear Barry, first of all thanks for your interest in Cities XL. Let's see one by one the points you made: - in the Solo mode you can trade only with Omnicorp (this is a feature of the game) for trading with the other people or between your cities you need to go on Planet mode - no, you can't, this is a feature. you can sell your resources by selecting the contract of Omnicorp for "buying" - as in the first point, this is a feature available only for Planet - you can sell your overproduction to Omnicorp by "accepting" his offers for buying Can you please provide us more info on this> "After experiencing difficulties trading in the online game (There was none), I set up a solo game..." we would like to understand which difficulties you have experienced and possibily helping you fixing them. After looking around the planet last night, I can't find a single successful city. I'm just curious if anyone can point me toward a successful one I can model mine after... Thanks,

"Your city is dead and boring!" If I see this tag blinking in my face one more time, I swear I'll go beserk! All I want to do is build a city, a simple city even... but I'm constantly nagged with the taunting message "Your city is dead and boring"... Well ya know what? THERE'S NO TOOLS TO MAKE IT LIVELY!!!! a bowling alley? basketball court? Do you do that? At this point I'd settle for drug dealers on the corner selling CRACK! at least then ppl would be happy! Trading! -- Get real!!! I won't pay for online... and solo play sucks! BERNIE MADOFF is your ONLY trading partner? How about trading with my other cities? ever think of that? WOW! what a concept!!! Bridges -- Ever build one? UUUUGHHHH!!!! Tear my friggin' hair out!!!! concept is great, implementation is.. well... horrible!!! Hamlet -- ever try to build a cool house on a hill? All you get is a CHICKEN coop!!!! property says it isn't happy... If I wanted a FACTORY,SCHOOL,STORE,POLICE, and BOWLING ALLEY on the mountain with me, I'd live in the CITY!!! (yea, it's a city builder, but you gave me MOUNTAINS TOO!) Yea, it's a new game... but not ALL their developers/employees are working on adding a new trading server!!! On the web site... That's the only friggin' update, how nice... (Hire a high school kid to address some of the complains, cuz right now........ I CAN'T STAND THIS GAME!!! Support doesn't respond.(not that I'd be happy with a canned message, which I didn't get)... message boards purposely the facts, and I've been driven to drink!! Maybe If I load SimCity for a while, I'll be happy.. Thread Closed - Take your ranty tanty someplace else.

Submitted as a bug, Trading with the Omni-present Bernie Madoff sucks! The game can't function on it's own without inter city trading!

"Leisure Activities" -- Your search contained ignored words, ignored words are words like a,and,to,between.Please re-construct your search without these ignored words. So, I created this topic... It seems that the only Leisure Activities are the Bowling Alley, and the Basketball court (doesn't seem to appease anybody, or work.) Any thoughts or ideas? -Baer
