The is a grey are in forum rules, recently there has been a spate of people posting topics which have already been posted, sometimes they are closed, sometimes they are left to carry on. Would it not be better for the origonal threads to be 'bumped' and the discussion carried on there than having 2 identical topics cluttering up the forums? Examples: Favourate Band: Origonal clone Ghosts: Origonal clone this starts to get really annoying......

I would like to state, that I did a search on the topic that I wanted to create a thread for and the results came back as nothing. I tried searching a couple more times using a varity of words and still nothing came up. I would suggest a better search engine since I tried to do the right thing before I created a new thread. I would also suggest that if a thread has not been posted in for say a month that it should be closed and removed from the forums. I have noticed that there are quite a few forums that make up several pages and they have several threads that are closed. If the search engine won’t come back with results when you try doing a search for a topic like ghosts, there are not going to be to many members that will manually search through six or more pages to find a topic they are looking for. For instance, if you do a google search on a certain topic and you don’t find what you are looking for in the first couple of pages, are you going to look through 100 pages trying to find it? More then likely no, you will try searching with other keywords first. If you still get no results then you will move on. I seem to remember about a year ago there was a lot of talk of extending the Off Topic section of these forums, have these plans been scrapped? I would be very much in favour of new sub forums under the 'Off-Topic' genre, does anyone else support the idea?

I would like to see a politics/current affairs room, as long as it was moderated well and there were clear rules which were adhiered to, i would see any problem

i would prefer people to post in old threads than create new ones on the same subject, that really annoys me Other than that, this site is fine and dandy
