Did anybody here like the game Alpha Centauri? I personally loved it, but haven't heard much about it from anyone. I guess there was an add-on for it as well but I never knew about it when it was first released.

The idea sounds enticing, but I agree that from what I've seen it would be far too boring. I think I'd most definitely play SC4 over this.

It's really too bad that Firaxis didn't expand on this game any more, I think a sequel would have been nice. The game was fairly modable, though. I even found a trilogy of novels written expanding the stories from the factions.

I haven't been able to get a clear answer on this, both online and in the game's description of the Parking Garage. Where should the Parking Garages be placed? I think the game's description of the building implies that they need to be placed by bus stops in the residential zones, but I've never seen an example of this IRL. Could anyone shed some light on this for me?

Back when I had gotten a TI-86 in the late 90s I attempted to make a simple version of SimCity. Using dozens of variables and labels I was able to "kinda" get it to work, but it ended up remaining text-based; I couldn't figure out how to get the graph-grid to work to make the actual city.
