Howdy... A big fan of your region! This is the most realistic I've seen here! Have a link to maybe help you some... have you made any use of Google's excellent satellite coverage of the area? Here is an example: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=53.558793,-113.603632&spn=0.005873,0.014453&t=h&hl=en You can move that around and zoom in and out on almost the whole city... might help you with some building layout. Also there is pure map form, pure satellite form, then a hybrid form so you can find streets on the satellite shot.

Lovely region... were that I as good with rural areas as you... but I am definately not. My next work is an old European style city with canals and islands... wondering where you got the sea walls you use in Ploce on the east end of the island? I have looked for a few and all I have found look way too modern for my centuries old city. Something that looked maybe brick or so might be even better but I think what you have there will work. The oldest part of the city will be on an island in a river... with castle walls and a cathedral even. Where do you get the W2W buildings?

My region Aristia... actually based on a satellite shot of Gray's Harbor/Aberdeen, Washington area. Scale is doubtless innaccurate (not what I was trying for here) but in reality the small island to the right of the map is about 1 1/4 miles NW to SE at its longest... and the distance across the inlet on the left from the the furthest west point on the south shore... travelling due north is just shy of 2.5 miles. Also I custom tuned the elevation of the surrounding hills for my uses. It renders fairly well but you clean it up further one city at a time... there's some noise from the satellite on the left coast and one or two of the narrower waterways (like between the island and mainland and the river banks on the bottom) need to be widened just a touch to look more realistic in SC4. This is my first upload on this site hope some of you find it useful!
