I'm going to try adding the single core instruction into the launch command line to see if that perhaps fixes why it has a CTD when trying to load a city.

I did manually install the 4GB patch, but unfortunately for some reason I still can't get it to run without crashing. I'm enjoying the properly functioning transit system now, so it's a massive win for my gaming experience nonetheless.

Road Top Mass Transit (RTMT) - Development and Support
JeffSalisbury replied to cogeo's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Quick question about RTMT: I've noticed that lots already developed that are only a single lot wide (1wide x Xdeep) will eventually redevelop into a multi-wide lot, which gets rid of the No Road Access zot. For some reason, if the lot isn't developed yet, I've noticed it never seems to get developed as a multi-width building. Anyone else experienced this, and has it resolved for you eventually? I've run things on cheetah speed for a decade and haven't seen any of them develop yet. -
And voila, but as a side note, for some reason, despite my hardware exceeding the requirements, NAM will only function for me without RHW. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice without luck. At least traffic volume and how sims use transport will function properly now.

Hi. I'm having an issue getting SC4 to work with NAM44. I'm on Win7 w/ 8GB RAM so should be able to handle everything w/ the 4GB patch no problem. I ran the ..._setup_version44.bat file and it said the 4GB patch installed successfully. I checked the folder w/ the game's .exe and the backup file had been created, so it appeared to have worked. I finished installing the NAM installer, which had no issues. I chose the RHD 4GB option. I can get the game to load to the region screen, but can't load any cities. When I try to load a city the game simply hangs. I went back and did the manual 4GB patch install, just in case it was an issue with that. Still getting the same problem. I'm at a loss here as to what the issue could be, let alone how to fix it. Just wanted to also say thanks to all the modders who've created mods to fix all the broken/improperly functioning aspects of the game. Played the heck out of SC4 back in the day and could tell there were things that simply didn't function as intended.
