well it worked before on steam. all the mods i had installed functioned properly as long as i had the dependencies. they just stopped working suddenly. i dont thing the file location makes a difference for the platform. the mods and such that i install for Command and Conquer 3 TW/KW (EA Origin) and even War Thunder mods (Steam) are put in through the documents folder

im using SimCity 4 Deluxe on Steam. I launch it with the SC4 shortcut on my desktop that launches it via Steam, and ive never had an issue until today. im using Win10 Pro. it will not launch when i rename the plugin file and ive never removed a plugin before. as i said. i ran this game perfectly fine last night. i properly closed the game and shut down my computer. when i woke up i decided to play a bit before i got out of bed and it froze my computer for no reason. the plugins folder was not touched between my closing the game last night and opening it this morning

Last night, i ended my game with a good tweaking of a new city i built with mods. everything worked fine and ran smoothly. However, when i started the game up earlier today, it crashed my entire computer. it showed merely a black screen and shrunk my resolution to 800x600 (not just the game, my pc too), which i had to change back to 1366x768 when i restarted my computer. i have no idea what may have caused this. if anyone can offer some help i would be greatful.
