EA giving free PC games to Simcity launch customers.

I'm really sceptical to this "Free Game" stuff. And i agree with some og the comments above stating that they haven't told us that we can chhose from their whole catalouge. And why wait 10 days after launch to give it out? Why not now, to have the players do something else while they are waiting for the game to work....Sounds fishy to me. -
Altough i like the game, it feesl to much simplifield. I got to play a couple of hours last night and it didn't have the same feeling as SC4, it just felt strange in a way. The game isn't bad, but the small city size definitly bothers me. After playing Cities XL 12/13 for a while with all the details you can put into that game, like one laned roads for example, i was really looking forward to this. And their large maps feels more real in a way. I could create a suburb, and have the industries far away from the cities, with train tracks and motorway inbetween. In this game i soon realized that puttin in a train system on the outskirts of my city became impossible, cause of the small size, if you hadn't planned ahead. The population also always complained and said that the needed trains.....TRAIN for a 1 x 1 km city...are they mad! And i don't think they haved killed it off yet, but feels more like simcity, the sims eidition.

Thanks Great to have a way to check the server status without having to log into Origin, then start the game, then wait for the network error to come up and manuallt check the server status. Although i havent played that much i love exploring this api stuff with the game. I wonder what else they might have hidden inside =D What i have found out so far is this: Full - you cant even try to join it. Bussy - There is a "queing" system. I wouldn't go so far and call it a que cause it's basically a timer that tries to login again after 20 minutes and resets if it dont. Available - Free space to come and play There is also a status called Hidden, my guess is that it's for test servers or servers under maintenance. But would be cool to try to connect to those instead =D. Meaby putting something into the hosts file on my computer could force the server connect....hmm

Hey guys. I got a bit frustrated with the game and decided to find out the inner workings of it, with at little network sniffing. I found this address, that apparantly lists all the statuses of the servers in a JSON API : http://worlds.simcity.com/parallelworlds.json So i created myself a little webpage and a script that creates a list for me to give me the visual list of the servers and their status. It was done in a hurry so dont mock me for the bad design You can check it out on: http://webhorde.com/simcity/ Just give me your thought about what you think Anyone know where in the config the client stores the server that it sghould connect to?
