This is a 1x1 lot. Originaly made for Edmonton I decided to release it for anyone who would like to use it. Along with an upcoming series of 1x1 lots These 1x1 lots can be good to use for the greater picture. This lot has random cars that appear to give it the feel of a real parking lot. Size : 1x1 Menu: Parks Cost: $1/month Utility: Requires none Effects: Very Small park effect -
Edmonton votes for a new mayor. Stephen Mandel was elected Edmonton's 30th mayor on Monday night, cruising to an easy victory over three-term incumbent Bill Smith. -Edmonton Journal Stephan Mandel somewhat came in as the dark horse. Trailing in 3rd for most of the campaign it was the undecided voter who gave him the last minute win. Bill Smith was Edmonton's mayor for 9years and braught many world class events to the city, -2001 World Track and Feild Championship. (3rd largest sporting event on earth in viewership). -Triathalon World Cup (yearly). -World Cup of swimming. -2005 World Master Games (Largest athletic compition on Earth in how many athletes participate). -2004 Juno Awards (Canadian Gramy's). -Plus many other notable events. Bill Smith was also founder of the smoking By-law taking smoking out fo anywher public this up coming July. As a non-smoker I like this for many ways, as a bartender I'm going to lose alot of money at work most likely along with 1000's in my bizz. Robert Noce who ran for his second time finished 3rd yet led the polls for most of the campaign. After having the same mayor for 9years it will be weird having the new face. Edmonton has a good income in an oil rich province, along with a very low jobless rate. Housing here has nearly doubled in cost over the last 10 years aswell. It will be interesting to see a different policy since most of the canidates didn't make there intentions clear over the campaign.

Development Begins Ive started some development of the city to get away from building roads. The roads are 2/3rds to 3/4th finished. I started in Mayfield do to it being mid class and having alot of Ind jobs near it. To balance the demands and get the city growing this was a good area to start. As the demands jump up and down it will determin how the city grows. SC wasn't made for city after city of housing. Hopefully I can over come that. Here is a small teaser of alot that should come soon.

Chris and I went out Tobboganing today (Sledding). We've had an early snow and alot of it. As I'm typing this I can barely see outside from a small blizard. Atleast its only -4C.....Warm for winter.

The large scale developement is great. I am looking forward to hitting this stage myself. The attention to detail shows threw.

A small follow up, update. Across from Telus feild is a grass/dirt parking area. I wanted the real look for it. So here's what I made on LE. I also made a normal parking lot lot for many other uses.

Edmonton Update - Oct 16 Telus Feild - Home of the Edmonton Trappers up until this year. The PCL moved the last Canadian team due to travel and a few other small probs. This last year the Trappers were the Expos farm team often selling more tickets then the parent team....Telus feild is only 10yrs old or so and was often seen with good crowds threw out the summer. Its located in the river valley just south of Downtown, This view is facing south. Anyone who lives in Edmonton will know the SC Ballpark is almost an exact look of Telus Feild.

Edmontons 100th Birthday October 8th 2004 Edmonton is turning 100 this weekend. With many things going on around the city aswell as everything civic being free. Edmonton as most anywhere has a rich history for 100 years. Once a Fort for fur trading, to an agricultural center, to the Oil boom. Edmonton is known as the City of Champions due to many championships in many sports. Most notable our 5 Stanley Cups over a 7 year period.

Vancouver is a perfect city to do. I would like to help, I haven't gone back threw all 6 pages but I have seen this forum a few times. Main thing is, is a common scale and refference map. Due to my nearly 100% accurate map I could be at help in any respect of this CJ if you are going for accuracy. Plus I know and love Vancouver. PM if I can be on the TEAM.

I just tried the NAM shortly. Played around with it for an hour. And it doesnt offer much of what I need that I dont already have or have already changed. And NAM is a large comlicated Mod that alters alot. So after this hr of playing with it I'm choosing not to use it. I have done probably half of the confusing areas in Edmonton and with NAM there would honestly be little change in the was I do things unless the modd is extended alot in the future. Dont get me wrong its a great mod. But what it offers doesnt really apply to anything in Edmonton.

This is an appaizing mod. I recently tried it after going threw the countless warnings. I found it hard to use and offered few high end alternatives to traffic. Things I wanted in it werent there. Dont get me wrong this is a master piece. >>>But I wish it was released one lot at a time. Not with the huge updates. So if someone needs a lot they can have it. I would like to make pedestrian malls and a few other things but I dont want all of the changes this comes with. Good job none the less. But please offer lot by lot if possible.

Dudy : I didn't use any network add on mods. I am trying to learn more about them before trying them. There are a few areas they could help in. Guess I'll have to keep asking and see what there all about first.
-
Ewok : Thats a good question. i'm going to start in mixed low wealth areas and let them interact. After a fee strong zones like this highclass ones should be more stable and esaier to let the city grow.
-
Feepa : here are the pictures you requested. Like I said the areas need alot of work. And the Whitemud Freeway needs to be edited once or twice. Oliver / Undeveloped Groat Road / North facing South Edit - Lost White Mud Freeway / Calgary Trail
