I am one of those RPG folks and own and play all the ES series games. Arena, Oblivion and Morrowind were quite innovative games, but Skyrim is the first to include a storyline, centering around dragons - Something many fans of Bethesda Games have been waiting for in the ES series. Am hoping we can tame and ride some of these dragons, but so far, the dragz look to be enemies of the hero. Will see. I understand where you are coming from. I prefer not to force beliefs myself, and please do not misinterpret my post as trying to attack or force beliefs. I honestly don't like it when people force beliefs on me either. I respect your beliefs and do not intend to force beliefs. I do not believe that religion can be forced, and I think that many Christians ought to learn that lesson. People have to decide for themselves. Please understand that a lot of what I say requires that you look at them from a christian prospective. It is not intended to offend, but many of my arguments only make sense on the premise that Christianity is true. I should probably make that more clear in my posts when I'm working off that premise. Not always true. I know many believers in Christ, who will use every word of the Bible and even argue for every bit of it. The fact of the matter is, the Bible is taken out of context 12 times more often by athiest and agnostics, according to studies by the American Baptist Association. We would have way too many ex-criminals with no arms and eyes at first. However, if we had stuck to these ancient rules persistantly, crime would be almost eliminated, so there would be very, very few limbless, blind guys limping around. There would not be nearly as much negative effect on society, as we have right now, using long term incarceration techniques. Repeat offenders would be virtually eliminated as well. My favorite is LastFM. Mainly, because LastFM have a global blanket license for streaming random radios. Most other Streaming Radio services only have a license in limited countries. Streaming radio sites are very much a different entity from all-access or on-demand sites, such as Mog, Rhapsody, Napster or iTunes, which have more expensive licensing and usually require us to pay a subscription for access. Streaming Radio Services usually have a free option for streaming random, shuffled playlists, user created stations or genre tagged radios. So tell us, what is your favorite? I tend to think that if one knowingly commits a serious crime, one is signing up for specific loss of rights. I see no problem with forced labor in the prison system. In fact, it can be of financial beneficial value to the country - roadwork, people, roadwork! Of course, I do not agree with post-incarceration laws - namely the loss of the right to vote. I also do not think that convicts have an easy time of it in jail. Many go in clean and come out addicted or infected or more violent than when they went in. Lots of problems with the way we do things. Lots and lots of problems. Barbarossa That is why I suggested immediate and swift punishment, as per the Bible suggestions - make the punishment fit the crime and there will be no problems at all. An eye for an eye(judges use this rule). Spare the rod spoil the child(measuring rod used by Hebrew Judges, heads of state and parents). Cut off the appendage that offendeth thee(immediate and costs nothing. Seems harsh, but actually best solution). These are all fair and immediate, with no side effects to the perp or society. Crime would nearly vanish altogether.

Sorry if it seemed like I was rude to you, but like I said above, I still "love my FM radio" for different reasons. I also like my CDs, which when I do play them, get added to my LastFM profile. I can go back and tell you exactly what I listened to on last Christmas day, using LastFM. Plus, the music artists get paid each time I stream their music on LastFM

Although those are FCC licensed stations, you're correct and my description of "Streamed Radios" is vague. I will edit in iTunes To each his/her own Although, you have to listen to what they want you to listen to. You cannot custom build your own radio or playlists. You have to put up with disc jockey jibberish and commercials. But yeah, I still love my FM radio too.

Hello all, I don't see why some have negative perspectives on this idea. I know of quite a many forums, game sites, gamers, MMOs, etc., that use LastFM groups as a secondary and terciary outlet for further exposure. LastFM have 42 million members from the entire world. Even if the group doesn't get a lot of members, it's much wiser to have it covered. Even game developers themselves go in LastFM and create groups and self promotion techniques. LastFM is where I heard about the coming release of Fallout: New Vegas, by Bethesda Softworks, from the manager of their development team. LastFM is also the place where I found a group for Abandonia.com(game forum and free downlaodables).

This depends on iTunes music licensing. Do we have to purchase a subscription? Do we have to purchase or already own the music? Are the Playlists already created by other members? If you answer "Yes" to any of those questions, then iTunes is not a radio streaming site and falls under an On-Demand Music License. I am using iTunes' Genius and Ping features, right this minute and I seem to have no control as a personal DJ of free streamable content. I should mention, if you search for news articles concerning suggested music streaming radio sites, you will see, the journalists/writers have no clue what the differences are and mistakenly, list Jango, LastFM, Grooveshark, in with On-Demand music sites, like Rhapsody, iTunes and Mog. These music sites are very much different entities, according to BMI, SESAC, ASCAP, PRS and the RIAA.

Now that is a point of view, I can wrap my head around. USA does not concentrate on true rehabilitation. Something needs to be put in place, or taken away from the inmates, so they start getting the message. This reminds of slavery in the Bible. Gods Old Testament law does condone slavery. However, many people may not understand the Isrealite concept. After doing some research into slavery in ancient times and the Hebrew texts, slavery didn't mean the same thing as it does today. A slave in Gods eyes, was a prisoner of war and slaves were considered valets, maids, butlers, farm hands, etc. They were to be treated the same as they treated their own children and considered equal to children who needed guidance, but also fairness. During the time one was a slave, the Isrealite families were required to educate their slaves and put back a salary for them for a total of 7 years. At the year of Jubilees, the slaves were then released into Isrealite society, hopefully a changed person and given all their salary, to start a new life amongst the Hebrews. Too bad this ancient concept would most likely fail in todays societies. I could easily guess, putting up a Taliban war criminal in my house, would lead to my house being blown apart, lol.

Isn't this movie based on that opera and Norse stories, called Ring Of The Nibelungs? Made for TV 2004 - I saw it and the movie was epic, IMO. Not nearly as great as LOTR, but still well worth watching and an excellent story.

Alot of American households have 2 people working, plus that they live in a city. Most of the poor live in the rural parts of America, mainly southerners and people in the mountains. Earning 20k as a farmer is already alot, since they don't really use their money much anyway. Everywhere around the world, farmers and rural people are always poorer than city people, since farming doesn't earn or need money anyway. Assure that, it doesn't include people who use illegal stuff(selling crack/heroin/meth). It also includes young people starting a career working at a fast food chain. They will pan out to be middle class. It also includes delinquents, junkies and drop-outs, which for sure are nowhere near citizens, they're beasts now. Most of these poor people in the city are drug addicts. Immigrants legal and illegal should not be included since they're not Americans and ex-pats should be included as they are Americans living in another country. When a country becomes richer, consumerism increases. Its happening now here, where people are buying smartphones en masse, poor or rich. While the rich could buy blackberries, the poorer people tend to buy locally made smartphones. That 41% comes from the US Census Bureau, meaning the 20K a year is per household(two and possibly even three people total, making 20k together). My daughter is 23 yo and her husband is 23 yo - they both work in fast food service and their total household income last year was 22.5 K. I helped them do there taxes. That is just not true of farmers in America, who spend 100's of thousands of there profit on re-investing for next harvest, animal feeding, farm machinery, repairs, storage, etc. Many of the farmers here in my rural area are millionaires, when you consider all their property and product. I grew up on a grain and hog farm in southern Ohio and my father was filthy rich at harvest time, yet he worked for a corporate farmer who actually owned two dozen farms and hired families like mine to work them. One farmer friend of mine here, is worth 4 million USD, with all his land, livestock and his own gas station for his farm equipment. He owns his own tractor trailors for hauling product also. Farmers must re-invest their monies, moreso than any other career and make up USAs largest spenders on large items. So yes, farmers are somewhat poor, due to the costs of keeping up a farm. Every few years, farmers must purchse new or used farm machines in USA. Here is an example: 1991 John Deere 9500, 914 P.U. header, hydraulic chaff spreader, dual range cylinder, hopper topper, new tires, green lighted yearly , shedded , very reliable and in excellent condition. 2882 separator hours 3670 engine hours. $55000 A brand new combine can cost a quarter million dollars, yet many American farms own several of these things.

Totally agree with this view. Sex crime, do no time, chop off the offending appendage and send them on their way. Take a life, lose your life. Rob a bank, chop off their dominant hand. You assume, falsely, that all sex offenders are male. What do you suggest when there is no "appendage"? Frankly, I am only interested in eliminating killers from the gene pool. I don't plan to support all the cripples your rule would create. I see your point NM ;-) However, we do support them while in prison and even well after they are released, as the majority of sex offenders, robbers and murderers can never find a decent job after, ending up on social security and food stamps thereafter, or repeating their crimes continuously. I can only guess, the cost of housing these criminals, extra law enforcement, lawyers, judges, etc., etc., outweighs the costs of making them cripples. Especially since this type of direct enforcement could very well eliminate 90% of all crimes in the future. I am just following the Bible here, lol. I know, it's just a bit too harsh to swallow in todays more civil thinking societies. Hmmm, guess with the ladies we will need to simply stone them Definitely agreed. And as the saying goes, an eye for an eye just leaves everyone blind. Then of course, "An eye for an eye" was a rule handed down to appointed judges, who had to be loyal and faithful to Gods law. Not sure how you got that. 41% of Americans make 20k a year or less and are considered poor. That only leaves 59%, who are mostly average middle class, less than 40k a year. I enjoy some commercials. Especially the humourous ones. Commercials are needed to keep the entertainment going. However I agree, there needs to be some variety in advertisements. Don't want to see the same commercial every 10 minutes, which the internet has a bad habit of doing to the point of being noise torture. 24 FPS on a television program and many broadcast networks will reduce this to 16 FPS, to allow an extra five minutes of commercials per hour. We the viewer, will not notice this with the naked eye.
