Jacqulina: well, things can change fast Shulmanator: Thank you for your nice comment!
  5. hahah well, why don't you start right a way, we will certainly teach you some dutch oh yeah and Fledder: I like the skycraper diagram of the dutch highrises compared to the worlds skycrapers. As someone mentioned, we can build high because of the veen grounds, and I personally think, that 200m and higher wouldn't fit in this country. The only city would be Rotterdam to place real skycrapers. In a city like Amsterdam or Maastricht, highrise don't fit. Check here some " buildings in maastricht": The Colonel, standing right next to the old train station: And The Ceramique tower:

Update 9: Bruiterstad's nuclear disaster, Neobruitopolis, and a future look Hello everyone, thank you for the comments!! This update, I'm going to show the destruction of Bruiterstad, the rise of Neobruitopolis, and a short look at some future plans. Let's start!!! A nuclear reactor in Bruiterstad, you can smell what is going to happen Fire!!!! And, an explosion: And after that, radiation, eartquakes and fires. So I've decrimated the city. And the start of Neobruitopolis: After 25 years: After 40 years, the city has the largest historical center of all the cities in the region. The population is 45.000 at the moment The skyline at day: The skyline at night: And,the transportation map, and I've indicated the new plans for the future, Ververland ( Valley of the Braat and the Verve river.), and Readelsbron, the well of the Readel. Satellite map: That was that, see you next time! Hope you've enjoyed it! Take care, Justin a.k.a. Uumke

mmm... I've got an idea, how about a new town south of Readelstricht, as 3rd city of the region? But then a more organised city, with wide boulevards etc. Can anyone recommend some mods or bats?

Update 8: Readelstricht and subway Hello everyone. A short update! As Readelstricht has reached the border of 200,000 inhabitants, I've decided to build the first 2 subway lines. The Readelskade has grown a lot, with some big skycrapers. I'm going to expand the network more and more. Here is the first subway station, in front of the Readelstad central station: and this is the first metro line, the Ringlijn; It runs parallel to the centre ring.I don't think this is going to be the busiest line. And finally, my first attempt to create a map. I'll be back in two weeks I think: very busy at the moment. After some updates, I think I'm going to expand the region. And I'm going to to show you the suburbs, and my kind of VINEX-building. Take care, Justin a.k.a. Uumke

  17. Sequov

hhaah, well,, I was planning to do that. There are some-small scale suburbs in Vervegraaf, Kanalenstad and Readelstad, but no real Vinex-locations

Alex: thank you, yes it takes a long time, so I run the city on the fastest speed. Sometimes I slow it down, when I'm going to construct etc. Voulpiotis: Thank you, and yeah, I guess you're right, the labels are in some cases very ugly.

Update 7: Reorganisations Hello everyone, thank you for your interest and comments. I've decided to reorganize some things in the region. 1st: The railway station in Bruit aan de Braat 2nd: The Readelshaven (largest industry area in the region),in Readelsstricht. Bruit aan de Braat This town has a dead-end railway. I've decided to make a rail connection with Bruiterstad, because there are some heavy traffic flows in the town. The railway station first had about 100 passengers a day. Let's take a look at the old situation: So I've started to bulldoze things and I've built a tunnel straight to the Braat-hills. And this is the new situation. Now have a look at the Readelshaven. I've wanted to bulldoze all the polluting industries. That took a while, because there would be a lack of jobs, and the polluting industries would settle in the high tech area. So I've made the taxes for polluting industries up to 12. The only negative effect is the short period of unemployment. So after the bulldozing, I've built some trees to remove the pollution. And I've made the transport network better. I've turned some roads you see here into an avenue, because of the long commute times.I've moved all the resources etc. to the south. You can see a line. That's the limit where industry is allowed to build. And the first zoned area: And the new residents. You can still see some garbage, but those won't go away. even with 4 garbage burners. So.... That was that. Hope you've liked it. Take care, Justin a.k.a. Uumke

thank you jacqulina. But it isn't all planned. Allright, a lot of things are planned, for example major roads etc. But the city centres aren't really. But anyway, I'm happy that you like the region a lot
