I'm not poetic enough or literal enough with my feelings to describe them in response to this, so I won't. Honestly, all I can muster to words is that this is terrible.

Simtropolis Chat Record Breaking Attempt
Eastwinn replied to simmaster07's topic in Simtropolis Related
I came to Simtropolis and noticed this thread on the homepage. I was about to click when I noticed that chat had 72 people in it. Just in time ^.^ -
Radicals are so annoying. They're important but they're so prone to mistakes.

If it's saying that access is denied then it probably can't delete these files because their running or because they are located in a protected place (temp internet folder). To get of the second virus, clear your temporary internet files. To get rid of the first and last viruses, Google "hijack this" and use it's deletion tool. Windows holds a queue for files to delete on startup before the viruses can have a chance to run and hijack this can add your viruses to that queue.

We should have infrared trixies.

Nevermind on that fade out thing then. I had no idea it was optional. However, I still don't like the massive list of songs that iTunes displays. I don't know if there is a feature to allow it to organize it by artist like Zune does. If it does then I have no actual gripes against iTunes.

Originally posted by: masochist I've got a Zune. I love it...but the Zune Music Player is terrible! I use it, but iTunes is much better, IMO.quote> I can't tolerate iTunes to tell you the truth. I hate how it organizes your music. When you have 3000 songs or so, you can't find anything without having to search for it -- which is nothing less than annoying. Also, this may sound petty, but I hate how it fades out each song before moving onto the next. That bugs me to no end.

Band makes "Guitar Hero" Guitars into real guitars
Eastwinn replied to Explodingsims's topic in General Off-Topic
There is some connection between Guitar Hero and guitar talent but it's very limited. Finger coordination and flexibility (moreso from guitar) mostly. (...and don't be silly, Guitar Hero and other rhythm games require plenty of talent.) -

I'm here because this like my home inside my home, if that makes sense in anyway at all.

Joe: LOLcats are pictures of (mostly) cats with funny captions on them. They have their moments. I personally think a lot of them are funny. Face palming is, like Duke said, something people do in real life. It's when you smack yourself in the forehead, place your head in your palm or pinch the bridge of your nose when someone does something stupid. The internet "phenomenon" is using "facepalm" or "/facepalm" as a response when someone says something stupid. I've used it more than once because it has it's appropriate times. Zel was referring to overuse of it, which annoys me just as much. Also, Zel: Your #3: I agree with Duke. Wikipedia is a great site, no matter what. Sure, it's not always accurate but it can be a great starting point for research on a subject you know little about. It's has more entries than a regular encyclopedia and it's entries are more detailed. However, it should never be a serious source for a paper or something, that's just silly.

Debating is pointless a lot of the time because it comes down to trying to support opinions with facts. That often fails.

"This class is great, I haven't learned anything yet"
Eastwinn replied to vailo's topic in General Off-Topic
I could tell you a million stories about immature peers. It's not uncommon to want to stab yourself in the face 2 times out 10 times other people say things. A few days ago in school our History teacher had us organize ourselves into groups: Monotheists, Polytheists and "Religious Critics." That was just bad idea in the first place, but that's not the point. I said in a puzzled voice "I'm atheist so I guess I should go to 'Religious Critics'," and another student turned around and gave me the dirtiest look I'd ever seen. I simply told him, "Grow up." Hopefully he does. His response was something along the lines of, "You grow up. There is a god." I didn't tell him to grow up because he was this religion or that religion; I'm not intolerant of other people's believes. I told him to grow up because he couldn't seem to accept that I was different and that "I'm right, your wrong" won't work anymore. Those kinds of things happen all the time to me, though most of the time it's not over something controversial or anything. The immaturity around me is almost unbearable at times. /teen -
Originally posted by: s.i.X I hate the new design of the forum. I miss the old look from IdealBB. Especially back in 2004. That was the best design, I think.quote> I don't hate the new look, but I still like ST4's look. I wasn't around in 2004, did it happen to be the same as 2005? I've "stolen" a large amount of raw sugar packets that they have sitting out in Chipotle for my mother. I suck at deep, dark secrets

Sorry, a bit late. Congrats you guys and welcome to the club, SimFox ^.^ -
This is a custom Guitar Hero chart I made for a song I wrote myself with Guitar Pro. The video is done by some else who can record better quality videos than me. Yes, custom Guitar Hero songs are possible. *Crosses fingers that embedded videos work correctly* Edit: Thanks. Give me a second. I'm not as used to this rich text editor as I should be.

Unofficial Disorder Venting/Education Thread
Eastwinn replied to simsmart's topic in General Off-Topic
I always get really angry when people claim they have OCD (see disclaimer) when they are clearly ignorant to what OCD really is and have simply self-diagnosed themselves over little misconceptions they've picked picked up over time. The most common annoyance I come across is people who think they or someone else has OCD because they keep things very tidy. This is usually untrue unless someone has a condition related to cleanliness, which is rare from what I've heard. The truth is that most people who have OCD are actually very messy and keep they're things untidy. The other most common annoyance is people who think their fascination with keeping things arranged on a desk in a certain manner is a case of OCD. This is possible from what I know not normally the case. From my understanding, OCD is like a voice the back of head that constantly tells you to do this or that and doesn't stop until you do. If you had a case of OCD that, for example, forced you to keep your DVDs on a shelf in alphabetical order, you wouldn't be able to walk away from your DVDs if they were out of order thinking "Oh, I'll just fix these after I have a snack." You wouldn't be able to enjoy that snack if you had this case of OCD because all you'd be able to focus on is those out of order DVDs. This is all just my current understanding of OCD. Disclaimer: I do not have OCD or any disorders as far as I know. -

What about those foot pad things? They "remove toxins from your body" through your foot. Baloney! One of the testimonial guys on the commercial said that he was surprised at how much mercury was removed from his body. "That's bad stuff, that mercury is!" Oh, and let's not forget acupuncture or chiropracty (sp?) ! Baloney!
