You can already run the game offline using a virtual server method that's been around for months - nothing takes place on the EA servers other than storage; the gameplay itself is unchanged using the available method (except multiplayer elements, obviously). Still a crap game either way.

The Cigar City Project: Tampa, FL Recreation

Sweet bro. You should teach me how to do this stuff. When are you gonna BAT my house? You'll have to do ours after we move dude! :-) -
Boston. I can't think of any major city in North America with a worse road layout, worse traffic, and worse drivers, all put together. Binghamton is a little crazy too, with the way major roads go into and out of it (I-81, NY-17, US-11, NY-12, and NY-7). The DC area and Syracuse aren't particularly driver-friendly either. I can't say for the rest of the world, however. I have heard that Madrid has the worst traffic on earth.

The factory looks awesome :-) I can see this from my house, it's amazing. It's like two blocks down the street. Good job, it's very accurate, everyone. Yay for North Hyde Park! -
It's a sunset. I've had this picture on my HD for a long time, it's one of my favorite Mars pictures :-)

ALBANY This is a dual-screen display. To do this, I took a very large image (over 3500 pixels wide), and used the Tile setting to get it to span both monitors so I don't have the same image on both. Then I moved around the screens virtually in Display Settings until they were lined up pretty well. Vista HP. :-D Full size (3120x1050): EDIT: Apparently, this didn't work; it's not full size. I might have saved the smaller version over the full size. I'm not sure. If anyone is interested in this picture, I can send it to you; there's a lot more than what is shown. I couldn't get everything to fit proportionally on my desktop.

Albany! My hometown, in a sense. There are many very interesting and beautiful buildings there. I'm with Nacoran on this one. Specifically: THE EGG THE NEW YORK STATE CAPITOL SUNY ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING OTHER DOWNTOWN Sorry about the poor quality; I nabbed most of these from Live Maps' Birdseye View. I especially like that red building. I have no idea what it is. The Capitol should certainly be done as well. It is such a nice building, and it is completely unique among state capitols. I think it's rather Canadian-looking :-P. It was built in 1899.

These are three major cities in my Regent Republic. I recycle my favorite buildings in many of my larger cities. This is Capricornum: Helgerade: And Statesville: Statesville (named after Statesville, NC, a city I have driven through a few times on the very long trip from Florida to New York State), is on a diagonal grid. I don't usually bother with diagonal buildings; I generally only plop skyscrapers. I think it turned out alright.

Looking good! 2 columns and 1 row! :-P The overhead view makes it look thicker than it looks from the ground, but looking at the sides, it's obviously correct. I'm here for moral support in these tedious tasks! -

I'm having trouble importing regions
FFVImaster replied to Black Griffon's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I was just having this same problem. Finally, I opened the grayscale in Photoshop, re-grayscaled it, then I made it darker using Adjustments, and it finally rendered. Then you have to open every city to see the effect in the regional view. *edit* I darkened it until the water areas were completely black. -

This is amazing! I go to the University of Tampa, and I see this stuff every day, as the school is downtown. I go into that CVS all the time. Can't wait to see what you do with the Tampa Bay Hotel/Plant Hall. It is the most beautiful building in Tampa, maybe even the entire state! The only bad thing about it is the classes I have to take in it! Oh and the Kennedy Bridge would be very cool. Are you going to BAT Channelside, Ybor and the rest? There are some interesting buildings around downtown. -
I may be wrong, but there appears to be an extremely blurred New York State Highway shield in the middle-right edge area... Albany? Maybe?

Europe vs America vs Asia vs Oceania

You shouldn't take pride in the fact that you don't pay state income taxes in Florida. It's part of the reason your state has one of the worst education systems in the country. Florida has allot of jobs, this is true. Businesses from around the country move their jobs there because there are no labor unions (prepare to have no say in anything related to your job lol) and they don't have to pay people as much because it's cheap to live in Florida. And the quality of life may be good for you, but there is an insane amount of poverty and suffering in the United States, that only exists because we don't have enough socialist-like programs to end it. We have plenty of cash to do so. Don't get me wrong, I love Florida. I was raised there (but not born there - 1,000 people a day move to Florida!). I am heading back there in August to pursue a college education at the University of Tampa (this may seem contrary to my previous comment, but it's a private school so it may be safe from the horrible education system). Florida is extremely varied (geographically speaking), and being the fourth-largest state by population, it is very diverse and it's an exciting place to be. It would be my favorite place I've ever been, but New York City will always stay in my heart as the most electrifying place I've ever been. I may move there after college, but it's cold up here, so maybe not lol On another note, I live in Upstate New York, and it's not that bad. I really hate the cold though... New York is the highest-taxed state in the country (that just happened this year). But housing is generally priced low, and we have good social programs and an awesome education system with the best public university system in the country. And New York City is just amazing. It's the most incredible place I've ever been (for now - I've never been outside North America). I would love to see Spain. I've always been fascinated with it: the language, history, the country itself. Greece, Israel, and Australia interest me as well, and I plan on visiting them all throughout my life.
