Here I will be creating growable structures for the upper levels of commercial and residential sectors. This may expand over time to other areas but as for now this is the focus. The colours are odd. They should be growing in 4 colours, however I did see somewhere that this is an issue. If the colour is really disliked I will go through the grueling task of reuploading it again to be a more neutral blackish/greenish building again, but only if you threaten me with taking your own life -

I don't know what the problem is, however I cannot update the f&^&ing gunwharf tower. I have done so much in the past 1-2hours to update it and it just will not work. The only conceivable way to do it for this damn thing is to delete the whole file from steam workshop and reupload it because usual update methods are refusing to work...but honestly, im just sick of tinkering this damn thing now. Finally did it. It wasnt liking that i renamed a part of the asset, so wasn't registering. Done now, enjoy! -

At the moment I believe changing anything to do with trains,cars,people is not possible. There may be code released or a mod that figures it out but right now, yeah....not likely to be changeable! -

LOD's as far as I am aware can use all the same maps as the regular model, although 9/10 cases probably only need a diffuse. all you need to do is name the texture file ''modelname_lod_d'' (d being diffuse)

Ratones, sorry I am not sure if I know how to help, I use blender + Gimp. I have no experience with sketch up or 3ds max. One question I do have is when you join them all to make it one object instead of seperate items, is it this is what is messing up your texture? Furthermore if you are struggling with texturing, it would be possible to make the boat an asset prop that you place later on, so it has its own texture/object information -

Thats quite alright, not bothering at all. Honestly I do not know if I did anything different for it to spawn on a 3x2 but maybe my process can help you, When I finished the model I made sure to apply any location//rotation//scales before exporting the .fbx file, then in the game asset tool I loaded up a 3x2 building, from memory by default it wanted my tower to also be 3x4 or something along those lines, but I changed it to spawn as a 3x2. I did test the building and it spawned on a 3x2 plot. Hope this helps, sorry I can't be more specific! -

Good spot on the link fault, changed! For some reason the link appears to be broken, I have 100% used the correct link and it still is showing gunwharf building lvl5 not my Admiralty tower. My goal was to keep the amount of data to an absolute minimum, although I have seen a few works that use 3000tri's and 1024 texture res. My next goal will most likely include the level of detail because I have been holding back to keep below 1000 on these buildings -

The Burj Al Arab was half design choice and half poor reference. I just could not seem to find any representitive information so had to resort to pictures, lots of pictures! -
Is there a way to animate custom buildings?

I have had some experience with animating in fbx for Kerbal space program. I imagine ''skeletal animation'' would refer to giving your parts bones to animate that way, but does support simple translations between 'x' object moves 'y' distance in 'z' time. So if you can loop the animation your wheel will infinitly spin -
