  1. Along these lines, is it at all likely that someone will build out a "real world businesses" mod pack, to avoid having to pull them in one-by-one? I've been drawn back into the city sim genre by C:S, so I don't know exactly what to expect from the mod community. I'd love to help out, but I do not have a coding background. It seems theoretically possible to create a database/list of real world businesses - even if it was just an update to the name and not the image - and pull them into the game, right? A deeper mod idea would be to insert some logic into how and where businesses develop. For example, the vanilla game (which is awesome, obviously) doesn't appear to have any guiding principle that might say "a drugstore should go on this corner, because there is no other drugstore serving this neighborhood, etc etc." It seems common for like three or four coffee shops to pop up right in a row... it would be truly incredible if the game could determine where another Starbucks, for example, would make sense on the map. And an even more complex layer could take into account the characterisics of a neighborhood to favor an auto repair shop or a yogo studio or a Burger King. Education levels, income, etc, should all dictate what goes where. Again, I have no idea if this is doable, and if it's a larger project that would require any non-technical help, I think it would be cool to work on, and I volunteer. Love the game!
