  1. Train station help please

Are your train tracks going off the edge of the city to other cities? Ive noticed my trains arent being used much, until I have the tracks connected to other cities, especially when my city is small.
  2. Happy Birthday!

Its not quite your birthday yet where you live at this moment, but Happy Birthday Rufiosim!
  3. Flying cars

When or if there are flying cars, I sure hope there is a lot of training before people are aloud to drive one, or there is going to be a lot of major accidents. A flying car would be very nice to have when I was driving the Demster Highway up in the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Canada. They use pointy slate rocks for the gravel highway, and everyone gets 1 or 2 flat tires. ( I got 2 flats, and I had only 1 spare) I would be scared to drive a flying car on a windy day or a storm though.
  4. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday oyd! I wished Dirk a happy birthday, but I didnt see that it was yours too. I hope you have a great birthday!
  5. Happy Birthday!

I wish you a very happy birthday Dirk, and a great year to come!
  6. April is National Donate Life Month

Ive already put on my drivers licence for many years, that I will be an organ donor for any and all organs. I think its a great idea.
  7. The new 'Birthday' feature!

Maybe I need some new glasses, but ive looked everywhere and I dont see any birthdays. Does it show it in statistics?
  8. Souvenirs and Memorabilia

I used to collect barf bags from airplanes, but I only have 1 now. Most of them got wet in a small flood in the basement. Also, I used to collect stuffed animals, but again, the flood in the basement ruined a couple hundred, then I gave away most of them. Now I mainly collect stuffed giraffes and zebras. I collect newspapers from when a major event took place somewhere in the world, and the headline is real big on the front page of my local newpaper. Not very exciting, but I have a guitar pick that Rick Nielson from Cheap Trick threw into the audience. I have a brochure from a 1976 Dodge Apsen wagon my family bought, that is one of my favorite mementos. That car was a total lemon, but I loved that car.
  9. stupid stuff

I just remembered another stupid thing my best friend and I did once. Many years ago we saw this old abandoned looking car. An AMC Pacer that had been sitting in a parking lot for 2 years not moving. My friend and I had been wanting to go sit inside it for all this time, just to see what a Pacer was like on the inside, since its that great little car that has been made fun of forever, for looking like a fishbowl, and how it blows up, if hit from behind. We decided to go for it one day, and found it unlocked, so we jumped inside and it smelled like somebody had died in there and was decomposing. We both paniced and went for the doors to get out, and my friend said "Hey! There is no door handles on the inside!". I double checked and my door handle was missing too. It was very hot and smelled like dead bodies, and we were trapped. We were trapped in there for quiet a while thinking we were going to die of heat exhaustion in a Pacer, and then I somehow managed to smash my window without anything to break it with. I just remember that feeling of terror. I probebly could of ripped the door off the hinges with my bare hands, I was so scared of that mystery smell. Never did see in the trunk. Maybe Jimmy Hoffa was in there.
  10. Post Your Picture Here!

TMS - Your picture looks like the video for (im probebly going to spell this wrong) Bohemiem Rhapsody. I think the guys from Queen all stand like that. It been years and years since ive seen that old video, back when Mtv and VH1 used to play videos.

  14. Food

Pizza for me, with ham and sausage, and grilled cheese sandwich using mozarella cheese and ham (basicly more pizza).
  15. stupid stuff

I think there was a stupid stuff thread just a few months ago... I once was baking cookies, and after I took the sheet of cookies out of the oven, I realized I forgot to use an oven mitt. I should of dropped it or thrown it to the sink, but I ran to the stove and sent it down gently, but I dont think ive ever sworn so much in my life, running to set the cookies down. My fingers were fried.
  16. Mother Nature goes nuts!

Here in S.E. Michigan, it was around 70F, 2 days ago, then the next day it was snowing and only around 30F! Its really windy now, and of course its trash day. Everyone put their trash out, and it blew away.
  17. What kind of Fortress do you have around your PC?

I use Spy Sweeper, Trojan Hunter and Norton Internet Security. Im going to try something different than Norton soon though.
  18. ST is Back

Ive just spent hours and hours making a new avatar again. How frustrating. I just discovered how you can change the colors from depressing brown/green to a nice blue, in the profile, so I feel a little better about the new look. Hard to get used to still.
  19. Traffic Violations

I got a speeding ticket in Ohio long ago. I think I was going 62 in a 55mph highway. I had one accident where I was driving on the freeway in freezing rain. Everyone in front of me slammed on the brakes for some reason, so did I, and I turned sideways and got hit in the drivers door, before going in the ditch. That was when I hadnt been driving long, and it was my mothers car. I was so scared I was in big trouble, I hardly noticed my head smashed on the window. I got a ticket for going to fast for the conditions. Another accident many years ago, I was driving along with my best friend in the passenger seat, and this lady decided to make a left turn in front of me. I hit the back end of her car, she did a 360 and hit a BMW that was waiting to pull out of the autoshop where it had just finished being fixed, and was going for a test drive. The lady that pulled in front of me hardly had any damage, and got to drive her car away, while my car had thousands in damage, and the BMW was really smashed. After the air bags shrunk back down, I looked to the passenger seat to see if my friend was ok, and I saw the door open, and my friend was running so far away, he looked like an ant. Nobody knew he was even in the accident, he split so fast. When he finally came back, he said to me I thought your were DEAD! You were just laying there not moving, and there was lots of smoke. I thought the car was going to explode!. Thanks for all the help friend! The lady who hit me got the ticket, not me. Another bizzare accident a few years ago, I was driving down the freeway in Montana, and was passing a truck. The truck then drove over a grapefruit size rock, it shot straight up in the air in front of my car, fell back down and just missed a guy on a motorcycle, then the rock bounced off the ground, shot into my radiator, went under my car and the rock bounce up and down like it was in a pinball machine, smashing the undercariage and exhaust pipe. All the radiator fluid dumped out of my radiator, and the cylinder head burned up. Of course I was in the middle of nowhere. After getting towed 70 miles to Missoula I was stuck there for 2 weeks while they found another cylinder head and radiator. ($1200US) Then on the way home my care broke down the middle of nowhere Nebraska. Towed 70 miles again. (Thank goodness for AAA) Another $300. Then my car wouldnt work right still and I spent another $5000 at least, trying to make it right, until I found out I also needed to rebuild the engine. All because a rock! I finally gave up and sold the car. No tickets for that.
  20. Fast-Food Ice Dirtier Than Toilet Water

I only get fast food a few times a year, and get a drink with ice very rarely, but I use ice from hotel ice machines much more. I would imagine thats just as bad. If the ice is in a bin with a scoop, I only use it for my cooler though. You dont need a test to know that ice is contanimated. Yuck.
  21. Looking for a job

I am looking for a new job also, but I cannot quit the low-paying, dead-end job I have now, until I find another one. Without any college education, that pretty much limits the jobs I can get to low-paying, dead-end jobs though. Ive been at my job for 16 years as a laboratory assistant, and it barely pays enough to live in low-income houseing. Ive also been a custodian and newspaper delivery person. Someday I will get enough money to go to college I hope, unil then im always looking for a job I can advance in, without having to spend a fortune on school. I feel like im going brain dead, just washing beakers all the time.
  22. Negative Experiences in School

School was a total nightmare for me. In grade school in gym class the boys would throw balls at me as hard as they could. If I was wearing a skirt, somebody would always yank it down or pull it up. One boy just walked up to me and punched me in the stomach for no reason. In 7th, 8th and 9th grade was the worst. There was one huge guy that was like twice as big as me, and everyday in gym class he would make me scream Hi (his name) as loud as I could. I had to really scream it, or I would get it. I was very, very shy. That was right when gym started. Then when it was time to do a sport, he would either pick me up, and throw me on the ground, or twist an arm or a leg until it came out of the joint. Nearly every day. The pain was excruciating, and nobody did a darn thing to help me. He pull me off in a corner somewhere. Then there was these 2 friends that would torture me daily. They would look for me in the hall, then come running up and smack me across the head with thier hard cover text books, trip me, and another thing they loved to do was say Lets break Marry's leg!, then they would throw me on the floor. One would hold me down and the other would smash my leg with something. I dont know if they were really trying to break it, but it sure hurt like hell. Those two guys in gym class loved to kick me as hard as they could, and trip me when I was trying to run. I will never take a gym class ever again! Gym class = terror for me all through school. Then there were a few other people that werent so mean, but they would throw the spit balls, non stop teasing, and try to always get my glasses. In the last couple months of 9th grade, I finally figured out if I dont let those bullies get to me, they will stop, and then all physical abuse stopped, and they all got pretty nice. When I would be alone with one of them, they would tell me im a good person, or even pretty. They would cut me up again when their friends were around, but I laughed with them. I only had a couple friends through all of school, and sometimes I had no friends at all. Then shortly after starting 12th grade, I wanted to kill myself and ended up in mental hospital for a month. When I went back to school, somehow the whole school of 2000 students were all talking about me, even though I didnt even know most people. Strangers came up to me, and said I thought you killed yourself!. It was so embarassing. Ive graduated high school 20 years ago, but im still so thankfull im done. I would much rather be 40 than 16. Being a teenager is very hard.
  23. What did you do during the State Of The Union address?

I was sleeping. I get up at 1am to go to work, so I have to go to sleep really early. If I was awake, I wouldnt of watched it anyways.
  24. NOW its officially gotten rediculous....

  25. The Superbowl has come back to Detroit!

wolverine you always take great picturesof Detroit. Did you take all of those pictures? Detroit is looking really nice these days. I was in downtown Detroit during that Car toons on parade thing, and i couldnt believe how clean it was. I went there mainly to go to the observation deck in the Renaissance Center, and it was closed. Do you happen to know if its open again? It sure is weird in January they have to make man made snow for the Motown Winter Blast, and it keeps melting.
