Happy BIrthday Chief of Staff, chriss11211, Geepaze, GRYINX and Sasa! Have a good one!
  2. Yikes! I thought that one, The Majic Roundabout was scary. Just imagine putting the traffic light sculpture in it, and put it in the U.S.. There would be a 50 car pile up.
  3. Boat missions

This is now more than a week later but...do you have at least 20% water in your city? I dont think you can get the missions without 20% water, or at least the marina. I dont think there is anyway to tell how much water there is either.
  4. Happy Birthday!

Happy b-day to everyone who has one today! Hope you all have a great day.
  5. Hows the weather where you live?

Around 80 degrees and sunny. Again. Nice weather, but the weather hasnt changed much for weeks, and its getting boring. I want to see some rain! The grass is turning to straw.
  6. Hows the weather where you live?

Low humidity, around 80 degrees, blue sky with puffy white clouds. A great day to try out my new cargo trailer for my bicycle. I almost spent this beautiful day in the hospital, as I found out the hard way, not to load a trailer full of heavy stuff, then try and go down a steep hill, when you have no experience using a bike trailer.
  7. new painting

You are very talented! Ide hang that in my livingroom. Beautiful!

  12. Resort Hotel

The UDI mission for the resort hotel is the Rx Pick-up and delivery, using the speed boat. You need the marina and at least 1 seaport, for the mission to be offered. If you dont have water in your city, that wont help you much though.

  16. Admin convention in Seattle...

Im just now seeing this thread for the 1st time, ive been missing out! I cant stop laughing, looking at all those great pictures. Ive driven a couple of those "gravel roads" in my travels. The scariest drop off ive ever seen, is riding on the bus (old school busses) through Denali Park in Alaska. Those tall trees would be tiny dots, looking off the nearly vertical cliffs. The busses come inches from the edge too.
  17. Happy Birthday!

Hey Happy Birthday Ginger Blokey!! Sorry for the double post...
  18. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Hiram Abif! I hope your day is fun!
  19. I already have my longest trip by car on page 1, of 9000 miles/14,484 km. Since now there are boats and planes added on, I will add: longest boat trip was the ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port aux-Basques Newfoundland. I think it was like 5 or 6 hours. Felt like 10 hours. I did the return trip too. By air: I looked at my globe to where is the other side of the world from where I live, and that was Perth Austraila. So i flew Detroit-Chicago-Los Angeles-Sydney-Perth. 23 hour on 4 airplanes, plus layovers = 1 1/2 days to get there. Coming home was much worse. Waited 13 hours in the Perth airport for my red eye to Sydney. Then 4 hour flight. 8 hours sitting in Sydney airport, waiting for next flight., then 14 hour flight from Sydney to Los Angeles. While aproaching L.A., an announcement that all flights to the North East are canceled for a blizzard. ( the blizzard of 99) Spent 1 day and a night in a hotel, then 12 hours sitting in LA airport, waiting for another red eye flight to Boston now. Lost my original flights. Blizzard + it was Christmas/New Years. Flew past Detroit, where I wanted to go, on to Boston. Had 5 min. to catch my next flight to Chicago. I mowed down several people running, but made it. Had to fly past Detroit yet again, and in Chicago i spend 1 day and a night in a hotel. It was expensive, but I was willing to pay a million dollars by this point, to avoid sitting in another airport for 12 or more hours. Then half a day wait, and finally got a flight to Detroit. 5 days and 5 flights to get home from Perth Australia. That trip was brutal.
  20. Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday Bobbo662 and sebes! I hope you have a fun birthday, and a great year.
  21. problem with stoplights

The stop lights in my cities do the same thing. I dont know how to fix it, so I just ignore it. When im doing a UDI, I just go through the light when the traffic is clear, no matter what the light says. Luckily, the Sim City police dont ever come after you.
  22. The longest one shot driving I did by myself was driving from Grand Forks, North Dakota to Ann Arbor, Michigan. About 1000 and 18 hours. Driving in a horrible storm in the Dakotas. I couldnt see squat. The longest full trip by myself driving, was driving from S.E. Michigan to Northern, Northwest Territories Canada, onto all Around Alaska, and all the way back to Michigan. That was 3 weeks and around 9000 miles. The Grand Forks- Ann Arbor was the last day of that trip. I drove that in a little VW Golf and slept in my car half the time.
  23. Detroit?

Is1977- Im pretty sure I just saw the Joe Louis fist on the STEX, or maybe it was on the CD you get for donating $20. Im not possitive though.
  24. Hotwheels and Matchbox

I love Matchbox and Hotwheels! I still have all mine, even though im 38. My cousin had the race track, and when all the cousins got together at his house, we'de be playing with them for hours. I am all tomboy. Dolls = boring. I found one really cool sporty one in the dirt when I was little too. I remember I brought it to school in grade school, and all the boys gathered around looking at it going ooooohhhh, can I hold it? I felt so important. Once in a while I will pull out my cars and look at them, and they still make me smile, looking at the old style cars from the 70's, and remembering all the fun times my cousins and I had playing with them. I should get a couple new ones. I will never get rid of my Matchbox and Hotwheels.
  25. What's the population of your hometown?

My city is Ann Arbor, population around 114,500. Ann Arbor is a University town, so in Sept. when the students come back, add around 30,000.
