I emailed EA and they said that Destinations is never going to be released on disc except as part of the SimCity Box Set!! The only way, they said, to get it on it's own is via the EA download service. As a result I have binned my copy of SCS, I am fed up with EA tacking the pee, and have decided to not buy anymore of their games. If only more people would do that they'd get the message. As I'd already got rid of my copy of SC4+RH this marks the end of my journey with the Sim City franchise, which started right back with version 1 of the game!! Thanks a bunch EA!

Ok, I'm going out on a limb here but... I like the game... I really do. I found Simcity 4 way to complicated to be relaxing and that is what gaming is all about relaxing and enjoying yourself. The new EP 'Destinations' should add some new fun to the franchise and hopefully will add some of the features you all keep demanding!

For a start Maxis as a seperate entity has gone, it now just EA and The Sims Division within it. EA have a bit of a history for abandoning projects. EA is very money orientated so they have seen how popular The Sims franchise is and decided to push Sim City in that direction, hence Sim City societies. A Sim City proper game would not sell enough copies by EAs standards to be worth the time and money.
