Not a complete solution to this, but I think a mod which merely disables the whole leveling up feature of the game might be a simple fix. I don't actually zone or grow buildings when I play anymore, so a mod which gets rid of leveling altogether would be much simpler for me than either of these mods being updated. I could just place growable buildings and not worry about them changing at all! Actually surprised that a mod like this doesn't already exist. Obviously I want these mods also updated, but it's just an idea.

I'm also patiently awaiting any update regarding either of these mods. Heck, at this point I'm waiting for a whole new mod entirely! And knowing that Control Building Level Up hasn't been updated in over 2 years makes me really nervous, the whole way I play the game essentially hinges on that mod. With Find It!, Control Building Level Up, and some other minor mods I can place growables like RICO buildings, which is something I have to do since RICO has never worked for me. Really hope these mods update or some new one is created to replace them, I'm hopeful since it seems like so many people used them and are awaiting any updates. Just gotta wait and see.

Thanks, I'll try something like that out. Hope there'll be a patch or something, because really the only reason why SC4 is still popular is due to the ridiculous amount of custom content available, so its silly to be limited from it all. Definitely gonna save all the content i already have so I can use it later (or on a different machine)

Okay, so every time I start SC4 and it goes to a flat region with blank text boxes, three folders appear in my regions folder. One just titled "(1)", the other "timbuktu (1)", and the last one "Downloads". They are all empty, does anyone know why this happens?

I have the steam version and I get this problem. At first only one out of say every 10 startups would I get the problem, but I'd just quit and reopen SC4 and it'd work perfectly fine. But yesterday I added more buildings to my plugins folder and the problem wouldn't go away. My plugins folder was at 1.55gb, and when I started up I'd get a blank region view like the one in the first post. I took some files out so my plugins folder was 1.54gb and the start up would then work properly. So i guess the cut-off point is 1.55gb? I heard about the plugins folder limitation for the app store version, but I guess it's also for steam, anyone else have this issue? Also, I've noticed when it doesn't start up properly the intro skips the "EA challenge everything" and goes straight to the Maxis logo.

I have the same problem DaggerBrent has. I tried to use File Juicer to extract BSC Essentials, but it says my trial has expired (even though I just downloaded it), and doesn't work. If I pay will this problem go away?
