  1. Hey, that's awesome! Those are great lists, thanks for adding us
  2. Hey, thanks! And there's nothing wrong with gold rush puns - the game is full of them! I know what you mean about playing old games on modern computers: I was *just* replaying dungeon keeper, and the difference from modern games is palpable (it's still a brilliant game though). I'm hoping we can strike a balance between modern expectations (screens large or small, etc), and classic gameplay. *Facepalm* That was a rookie mistake, wasn't it? Thank you for catching that, I fixed the link! Awesome! Right now we're still in development, so we have an early access version available on Indie Game Stand, and we've just put the game on Greenlight on Steam. Once it's finished (targeting early May) we're going to have more options available!
  3. Hi everybody, We're a small indie team working on a game called "1849" - it's a classic city builder, set in the California Gold Rush. Check out this video: In terms of gameplay and visual style, we're going for the feel of old school city builders, like Caesar series, Zeus, Cleopatra, Children of the Nile, etc. Those were some great games, and hugely inspirational. It's definitely a work in progress, but we're hoping to finish up and release in a few months. We're currently designing our campaign scenarios, but all the game systems are already in place and interlocking nicely. So far we have just put the game up on Greenlight just this past week. Anyway, hope this post isn't out of place, and there's much more info on our game page if you're interested: http://www.somasim.com/1849/ We'd love to hear what you think about this idea!
