    @brussakoff 2.2.x entry edition is terribly dumb, and a nonstarter if... - any of these 'parent' folders does exist... - - c:\program files\origin games - - c:\program files\electronic arts - - c:\program files\origin\games - - c:\program files (x86)\origin games - - c:\program files (x86)\electronic arts - - c:\program files (x86)\origin\games - - (actually %programfiles% or %programfiles(x86)% which by default is in c drive unless customized) - but without any of these 'child' folders therein... - - - \simcity - - - \simcity\simcitydata - - - \simcity\simcityuserdata\ecogame - - - \simcity\simcityuserdata\packages in such scenario, there are 2 options to make 2.2.x work... - either return all 'child' folders home to the 'parent' folder in C, let 2.2.x automatically find them. - or remove/rename the 'parent' folder in C, all 'child' folders stay in E drive in your case, and point to e:\program files\origin games when asked. 2.3.x modders edition is less dumb, and not handicapped by above scenario. your report helped fix a bug. thank you! go try updated revision 2.3.5, in your case simply point to e:\program files\origin games\simcity when asked. anything weird please let me know again.

    @Søren Villadsen try 2.2.4 which is near to the maximum width i'm prepared for at this time. although you have a spacious screen, please understand that there are people still using 1280x1024.

    @oldnavy to offer the majority of users a convenience, sc13ms tries not to have to ask for a path pointer. instead, it depends on environment variables, the way you envisaged, to locate its workplace. however, this can readily be beaten. say, your environment variable points to c:\program files (x86). if you moves the folder to x:\, the environment variable is updated automatically, but if you create a new folder x:\program files (x86), the environment variable is not affected. now, lets create a new folder x:\program files (x86), plus a subfolder \vendor. then, leaving c:\program files (x86)\vendor intact, you cut paste your \SimCity folder from there to x:\program files (x86)\vendor. you can run your x:\program files (x86)\vendor\SimCity\SimCity\SimCity.exe as usual. but, no 3rd party who depends on the environment variable is going to be able to locate x:\program files (x86) or its sub folders. in this case, the environment variable still leads sc13ms to find the intact c:\program files (x86)\vendor, but with \SimCity missing, it quits. renaming c:\program files (x86)\vendor forces sc13ms to not find c:\program files (x86)\vendor, thereby triggering a request for a pointer, with which the user can specify x:\program files (x86)\vendor, so sc13ms knows and remembers where it should go for work. the less dumb modders edition no longer tries just to find the vendor folder, but goes one more level down for \SimCity. users who has an intact %ProgramFiles%\vendor, yet has somehow moved \SimCity away from there, receives a request for a pointer.

    @Blackkatt please mind your words. you're sure anybody in this community upload their work to be funny? if you make a request, we can try our best; but if you start calling things crap, and are not prepared to give and take, then I guess you can have a better time sticking to the vanilla game.

    @Blackkatt when you setup, if sc13ms asks you for a path, point it to d:\program files (x86)\Electronic Arts and you'd be fine. if sc13ms doesn't ask you at all, it means sc13ms finds one of these folders existing. - c:\program files\Origin\Games - c:\program files\Electronic Arts - c:\program files\Origin Games - c:\program files (x86)\Origin\Games - c:\program files (x86)\Electronic Arts - c:\program files (x86)\Origin Games if setup fails, it's because child folders are missing. in such case, rename the parent folder, setup sc13ms again, it'll then ask you for a path, now point it to d:\program files (x86)\Electronic Arts or you may simply move \SimCity from d:\program files (x86)\Electronic Arts back to c:\program files (x86)\Electronic Arts if this entry edition still doesn't work in your situation, try the modders edition which is less dumb handling custom paths.

    @oldnavy when xordevoreaux set nothing to load online, and switched to online mode, then launched from sc13ms, the application should have flagged all his mods to be not loaded at launch, regardless of any individual mod's offline and online capabilities. while the ui displayed everything as per xordevoreaux's configuration, if so happened that some io issue beyond sc13ms's control or expectation caused a strictly offline only mod to miss being flagged, the intended online game might just suffer a rollback. steps i requested xordevoreaux to follow attempt to return a clue.

    @oldnavy Thanks again! @Monte Gaming Thank you for the video! I have added your link to the application info. You shouldn't have needed to run or manually shortcut the application from the unzipped folder. Setup should have automatically yielded a shortcut on desktop, wonder why it didn't happen your side. Please also check out the Modders Edition, in which I have left everything to be discovered by the user. If you have time for some exploration, a tutorial on the Modders Edition would be quite helpful to some.

    @xordevoreaux Please follow these steps to help identify your situation. Part 1... - Open SC13MS. - Switch to Online. - Tune your checkboxes such that the bottom left green panel reads: Next Launch...ModPackages ONLine Loading=0. - Uncheck Hide NonMods. - Take a screenshot, if necessary scroll down for another. - Save & Exit. Part 2... - Open these 3 folders: SimCityData, EcoGame, Packages. - Set each to details view, and opt to show hidden items and file name extensions. - Take a screen shot of each folder, if necessary scroll down for another. Please do Part 2 only after finishing Part 1. Then post the screenshots here, or message me for an email address if you prefer to send them privately.
