One could tell you that the mindset between possible future consumers and professional critiques is somewhat sperate. I relate somewhat to the backlash of fans and would-be buyers of the game; but I also understand that if you had a golden toilet seat that treated you with a near perfect experience of its lavitorial duties, you'd still get a reception of people complaining that it is nothing like the standard toilet seat, or that it's features are too complex/uninteresting to them. This game, independantly, without connections to the previous titles or the huge list of expectations from its fans, is going to make some kind of money. If a game reviewer can sit there for six hours and want more time from this game, with little disregard to what people call 'the make or break' problems that make thier money not worth investing, then Maxis will continue on this path with little regard for the negativity. Opinions do not matter at all, even from the most trusted reviewer from the greatest reviewing website the world has ever known. But it's not going to be the group of people protesting about this game's issues either. I wish it luck, and I look forward to playing the beta again on the 16th, and playing in March.

anarchy0029: There will always be hiatus and on & off experiences but one thing is for certain; San Portello shall never die. Dsrwhat316: Upon my eventual return I intend to finish the one I'm working on now and get on with PixyDust. Not too sure what I can and cannot do time-wise. suplado: Thanks for posting, it is always appreciated. jacqulina: Thankyou, me too as it happens and always lovely to see you around. silvermac: I'm glad it is, I always intend to return no matter what happens. MajMayhem: Thanks, and in answer: 1) That is definetly a point worth considering, however, I personally was not happy with the way the ones were that actually got me into this business, so I thought it was best to at least have some form of proper release rather than ones where I just got tired and fed up with and literally slapped on to the exchange. I am taking my time with these and with time it becomes clear that they are far more wonderous and imaginitive than the orginals. Expect a new one though after Neyorka Volume 2 is finished; Pixydust, in loving memory of Stardust. 2) Fermont Street - I'll have a look into that. PhilsCafe: Thankyou! It is but always dissapears what with my hiatus and such, but a return is always guarenteed until I die. Thanks for being around and returning when you can! I'm reworking my plugins and files at the moment, but this is a notification of my return, and I aim to continue work on San Portello, the reigon that started it all for me. Until I reply with shots, Neal.

Update 83: San Portello; Main Story ACT III Has been updated at this location. Thankyou for comments!

I'm sure it won't end up too bad Simbox, you're already doing fine as you are in just (one?) a few city tiles. My advice to add is to keep it cooled and controlled, I went mad on building in a part of my reigon and lost the actual quality, I think it was the moutain areas near my first city, will have to go back and look... But your city is coming along well even if it wasn't an intended result; when skyscrapers dominate the entire city then the problem starts to present itself. I can't wait to see your historical areas and I'm sure they'll add to the pleasing view. As for your airport - Not bad at all; now I'm going to ruin your day. Have you discovered the RIMP? It is a set of Airport lots and bats that adds to the overall presentation of an Airport and makes it much more convincing, but it does desire a lot of money and patience. I shall leave it to you; from a distance that airport doesn't look at all bad, and even when drawn close, it has some quality to it.

Your use of the seawalls really touches up the areas quite nicely, and I do hope they don't stratch away at you since they can be a pain to handle, but give them some right discipline and a few shouts and grunts they'll soon give over and you'll be paralysed by thier beauty and would never want to put them down again! As for the reigon point of view I have basically made the same approach upon a bare surface on a config at least 12x10 Large City tiles wide (120 Large City Tiles in area - Although I have included a range of small, medium and large tiles). I have produced 2 cities out of it, on the way to the 3rd, as well as a small sister-city and lord only knows how many little towns and inlets packed inside of mountains and farmland. My best advice to you when working with a large reigon is to keep an eye on the larger scale of things and concentrate on the transitions between each city tile to make it look appealing. Exactly my thoughts on the sprawl when you get around to it; loads of low denisty housing and great tracts of farmland with only a few major roads eeking here and there; it is up to you though however and there are many different ways to present a sprawl and indeed a super-reigon. I must advice against however a Skyscraper Super-Topolis; it just ruins the fun of things and the challenge isn't really there anymore. Don't worry about the losses of the lower density buildings in your downtown; you can certainly control it in many different ways and you do have a large reigon to put smaller districts upon anyway. Illyria is still top form by the way and only you have the power and right to make it look even more beautiful - Don't always listen to my advice; it might just ruin the whole thing!

A very good start Simbox and it is a shame you have so few comments for your amount of effort and work. Here's what I enjoyed looking at in your pictures: - Your pictures' focal points are landmarks or parks & recreation, this is nice to see rather than looking at a mass of random buildings and skyscrapers. - Your reigon views are always a pleasure and I feed off of reigon shots, you do realise that you can work with bigger reigons can't you? - Your optimisation of space; everywhere I look on those pictures I see some good space consideration and every resource for real estate is presented as precious and important. Here's a few ideas to make Bel Imperia even better: - You have complained about that car icon, you can turn it off you know, if you don't know how send me a PM and I'll show you - The major thing that presents itself is the difference between land and sea; seawalls make good separators and emphasize your cities' current beautiful points of interests. - Have you considered building sprawls? A vast district of low-density housing and industry that stretches away from the city giving it a sence of place and gives the downtown area some contrast? Just critiques for you; but keep it up this'll be hot in no time!

crazyyaya: Surprised I didn't spread it out more? In way way do you mean, in more than one update? It may have been wise but I owed San Portello that much anyway... Thanks for commenting! patfirefghtr: Always a welcoming sight to see you here! Thanks for posting! suplado!: Once I BAT enough casinos hopefully it will look beautiful... San Portello is all about overviews! No update yet, concentration must now be spent on getting some casinos done or expanding out to another city, but I apologise in advance. Neal.

panthersimcity4: SGM means Simtropolis Goldwyn Mayer. suplado!: She's almost ready for upload... just a few more alterations and she'll be set. anarchy0029: Wait for the update... And it is Las Ventura btw. Update 82 - Las Ventura; Giving birth to a legacy A city on the brink of self-destruction. Industry was leaving like a star-crushed carnival, and any kinds of business were preparing themselves for a devastating market crash known only as the Shingdu Crash that took the entire reigon except for Santa Neyorka. This update tells the story of how Ventura survived the bring of it, but took the brunk of it and fell apart into pieces, only to bring about the brightest future set for any city in the reigon; to become the richest and most famous in the known Simworld! 1 year before the big hit; the world was gripping itself for something big and an aerial photo (like the one shown above), was taken of Las Ventura in her younger prime: A city that had strict rules on gambling, a city with a future for stardom in the development sence, for in the streets of Las Ventura, commercial business was booming regardless of the warnings and hints of the impeeding market crash. The town would fall into recission, destoy itself so literally all forms of freedom and justice that the townsfolk had stood for would be washed away in the blink of an eye. Towers filled the skylines, each and every parkway that ran through the city would be streamlined with rise fame and glory; towers made to stand a lifetime, and not a few short and puny years. But it came all the same; a shockwave of depression and despair. All whom couldn't hold on to thier money lost it, and all whom were poor and desperate became worse off and in severe need of help. In the beginning, Las Ventura had took a severe beating at the expence of a few small business across the board, closing up shop just to keep the cash for survival of thier employees and managers. The big businesses fought had to control the loosing battles; in order to keep revenue they would buy and sell unwanted real estate to developers yet to be taken down by the crash. Yet the towers continued to shine high in the sky; not one fell apart or was diapilated, not one lost its menacing power. That was until one business in particular, the Venturas Group tower overlooking the Church on the East Ventura Strip, suffered a severe and crushing defeat in terms of succeeding the battle of bancruptcy. The Venturas group was central point in the business of the City State; and the other businesses knew it regardless if they were overseas corporations. The Venturas group was holding the lifeline of the town, and just five months into the crash, the lifeline snapped in a few breif seconds of mistake. Like the flood that had promised to follow, Las Ventura's personal economic market failed and failed miserably. The Venturas group had a way with her customers and her way of commercial thinking; the Venturas Group owned a lot of the retail real estate, kept the areas clean & tidy, and worked with the police department to ensure safety and freedom of her corporative customers & consumers was keenly looked after. As you can guess, like a pack of unstable cards standing 10ft high, they all collapsed atop of each other.

Godzillaman: San Fernandes' population is (At this Moment) 2,162,169 souls. The computer doesn't run too bad really, apart from the long loading time but that isn't really an issue for me!
