I've noticed that when you try and cross two diagonal streets using the NAM construction pieces you get road pieces right at the intersection. Looks rather shabby so I was wondering if there was another way to cross streets diagonally. Manually (i.e. tile by tile) building the roads seems to be impossible as they end up twisting at the cross. I am almost sure that the earlier version of the NAM (January?) didn't have this problem. ¿Can someone confirm?

Guess I'm not the only one. Anyone else have any ideas or a link to the previous NAM?

Nope, didn't work either. I'm going to re-install SC4 from scratch to see if it helps.

I have no other transit mods and now that I recall, I installed the June NAM on a clean install of SC4.

Re-installed the NAM, same problem. It apparently is a graphical glitch as when I move the mouse pointer, it shows up correctly as a street. Yet it appears as a road...

Could very well be, I will delete and re-install...

Each is wonderful in their own right. London has more style, better food (none of which is actually British fortunately) more history, a more cozy feel and much more beautiful suburbs. Paris on the other hand has more architecture, more culture (best museums in the world hands down), the city is less chaotic and better planned, better shopping, but most importantly... ...it is far and away the single most beautiful city in the world. There is nothing even remotely comparable in London to the Louvre, Versailles, the Pont Alexandre, the Champs Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and all the countless other palaces found all around. So in conclusion, perhaps London might be a better place to live depending on what you value (I mean, if you like variety and night-life, it's much better). But in terms of sheer beauty, I really wonder how anyone in their right mind can put London over Paris. -MZ PS I'm amazed how the anti-French mentality of certain anglos goes on to cloud even their supposedly unbiased opinions on two cities.

Hi there, I just upgraded my PC from 512 MB of RAM to 1 GB anxiously expecting SC4 to be blazing fast. However, to my dismay, SC4 now actually runs slower, quite considreably so whenever I am moving around the map. This is all the more surprising since I am using an Athlon64 3000 with an overclocked Sapphire X800 GTO2. This rig can play FEAR or Doom3 on 1280x1024 with nary a flaw and yet moving around the map you can practically count the frames because its so choppy. Last year I was using an old P4 2.4 with a grappy antiquated graphics card and the game ran FASTER than now. Can anybody enlighten me on what could be the problem? Thanks -MZ

I formatted my PC about two weeks before upgrading my RAM. Likewise the difference in speed was noticeable when adding memory, NOT when I switched from a Pentium4 to an Athlon64. The difference in clock speeds between A64 and P4's is irrelevant to the speed of a cpu-intensive game because AMD chip speeds are not as dependant on clock speeds as Intel chips. My A64 3000 clocked at 1.8 will always trounce my old P4 2.4 despite being 0.6 GHz "slower", and you can check out every benchmark in the world for proof. Oh yeah, I'm not using any plugins. It's a clean SC4 install.

Hello, Two questions: 1) I installed NAM but the diagonal streets did not work. Do I have to install ANT too to get to function or am I missing something? 2) Is it possible to only use the diagonal streets plugin without using the rest of the NAM files? Thanks.
