I totally agree with SC4BOY . We cannot be converted all under one civilization or one leading mentality... Every people or nation has their own idioms. Sorry thats the way it is. Originally posted by: Larks2242 Originally posted by: Archean How about this, Europeans can call it Football, and Americans can call it Soccer, and no one gives no one a hard time about calling it the other.

Originally posted by: heitomat That's a great airport, gabe1337ness! The terminals, the parking lots, the pipes, the highway walls.. Good work! I was actually hoping to see the Haneda terminal in use again, just for variation, even though the AC terminals are great too.quote> Which one is Haneda Terminal?????

Excellent pictures and creations both of you.... @Nardo69: Where could i find those trees you have (some are inside tha farms)???

The choice you could make depends on criteria... For example How old are you! You live with your parents or alone! You care only about games or you want something multifunctional... For example I am 31, I don't live of course with my parents, I have my own familly and at the first site I wanted a blue ray player but the differences between a blue ray player and the PS3 on price was about 50 euro so I definetelly choose PS3. There was no option for me to buy anything else then PS3.... If I was 15 I wouldn't care about blue ray because I wouldn't have a 1080p TV set, I could probably choose with another point of view... Even though some games you can play them on the computer. Isn't it??

so for the european is then even Paphos or Larnaca. As for the I would say Beirut or Tel Aviv...
-
sorry then it is Kyrenia because you see the mountains from the other side. In the south cities it is impossible to see Egypt. lol

It is Montpellier...

These are some photos from a village I' m working on

I would say the most hilly place in Brtain is Wales, after Scotland. But it doesn't seem like Cardiff. I don't think is Belfast either. i would say it is Dublin... P.S. Even though this picture reminds me German or Switzerland more...

Originally posted by: jammy This looks Italian, I'm going to guess Florence?quote> I would say it looks like more portuguese to me!!!!! Because as you can see the houses in the bottom right are a little messy. Italian cities are more homogeneous in their top.... I would say Lisbon or Oporto...

Yeah for me here in Greece lacking of train services. doesn't make much of the difference, but I cannot imagine planning a city in CXL without predict space for my railway stations. Whay are we gonna do? leave empty voids to fill in later???? just curiosity!!!!
-
That's the whole point... If you would like to make Amrican cities then the grid of SC4 it's quite nice, but most european cities are web like layed, so CXL would be more conveniant... The only problem is that buildings won;t fill the cornenr gaps...to create an attached block of buildings We'll see

I don' t know what in other european countries is happening during this election period but In Greece none of the political parties said anything about Europe. They just mention their instate program. A lot of people including me will not vote as a protest for the political system (Scandals, statism, etc) Is the same thing in the rest of the countries???

Show us your country's/region's Highways, Motorways, Freeways, etc.
awake_78 replied to Haljackey's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
Here are some pics of Greeks Highways. These are from [A2] "Egnatia odos" highway in Northern Greece And these are from [6] "Attiki odos" Athens ring road this is the intersection with [A1] the main Highway connecting Athens with Thessaloniki, the second bigest city in Greece. And this is the the airport intersection... -
I will totally agree with silent trader. None is forcing you to do anything. You re always free to choose. MC is a company and they are preparing they product. We should be very grateful to see them around in the website asking fans opinion and sharing their creativity with us. See what happened with societies. EA decided to take their own way and a lot of SC4 fans didn't follow them. Besides all that everything is value for money. Why I shouldn' t pay for something that trully deserves it... P.S.: by the way, when the game is finally going to air???

I think they don't look that great Jonathanquote> I'm very grateful for HSR. But I would like to point a small thing. I think the most real HSR trucks looks like more than normally track (maybe a little more gray). In the game the tracks are totally diferrent. -
VOTE: Do you want regions in Cities XL?
awake_78 replied to edcase2k4-thugangel1983's topic in Cities XXL
Of course the best feeling about the game are regions... if it was possible make countries...but I don't like it is cut in pieces. I d prefer tou be a huge terrain and drive from one place to another or commute with the train etc.... It pisses me of in sc4 that has limits... -

When I' m saying church I don't mean a specific church in a specific place I mean Church in General. For example the Catholic Church is being administrated by Pope in Vatican city. I don't kow how things are in America but in my country there is no individual church. The Greek Orthodox church is divided in Metropolis and every church wherever it is located belongs to this Metropolis. So even the smallest church takes order from people above and follows their lead. With exceptions most of them are not men of God or whatever they just have power in their hands to do whatever they want and the most of them are corrupted. I beleive that every organized church works like that. That's why I' m telling if you want to believe not get involved with priests just do it by yourself. Besides that's why they are for. Churches represent fondamental ideas....
