  1. I had this too plop a community college on the edge of your industrial zone (the low tech dife)?they should upgrade to medium tech pretty much straight away. Once your processor factory is up and running you can bulldoze the college if you wish. Your processor factory will work at least it did for me. Good luck
  2. Nuclear power and disaster rate

Thanks for the replies I'm starting to think maxis has a thing against nukes too. I played my city some more tonight and not one single disaster. I even researched and upgraded to a gen 2 reactor. Worker education levels have stabilised. I know nuclear power is risky but I have kept my old coal plant as a backup should I need to shutdown in a hurry. There is always a risk from I direct hit from a méteor but I like the danger aspect so will keep the nuke for now.
  3. Hi, I've been running a city In a multiplayer region the last few days. Population around 83k specialising in trade (shipping processors for income) and education. My city has grade school high school and university. Yesterday one of my neighbours completed a archeology and I decided to plop a nuclear power plant. This is where things got a little crazy almost as soon as I plopped the nuke power station I started to get natural disasters such as earthquake meteor strikes much more frequently (the frequency of these is off the scale like every 24 in game hours). The disaster range across the complete range from tornadoes to giant lizards and zombies. So far my nuclear plant has survived unscathed but I'm worried that the disasters which decimate the population will affect the education / tech level of my sims increasing the risk of a meltdown. Anyone else noticed that the disaster rate as I call it shoots through the roof as soon as you plopped you nuclear plant?
