I'm not entirely sure this is allowed to be discussed, but wouldn't running a proxy enable you to bypass local release dates? I remember it being done for Battlefield 3 which was also an origin release.

My district name will be Guelph Just one problem.. Anytime i try to build anything in the game region, the game crashes to desktop, i can build just fine in the other regions. I checked my plugins, found nothing conflicting removed my plugins, it still crashes. reinstalled complete with the bat patch and the general update, still crashes.. any ideas?

I hope everyone takes it easy, this is not a contest to get the largest town in existance, at least, i hope its not.

Is it just me or are the links to the city updates not working?

I think its pretty obvious, some-one hacked ST to make the administratirs aware of the vulnerability.

What can i say, i like small towns, and since i just started a new region, no uber-buildings for me. Since the airfield is a part of the towns commercial machine, i just had to add it.. who am i kidding, im showing off!.

What you need to understand is that Simcity is a.. Simulator, meaning that it works somewhat like real life. Do you ever see isolated high rise buildings in real life? No you do not, they tend to only be build in area's where people really want to live.. People want to live near their work, good infrastrucure and services (good road acces, police protection, healthcare, educational facility's). You have to start a village, then build outward using low density zoning till your advisor tells you city spread means trouble ahead, this is a good time to start building medium residental. By the time your population reaches about 40.000, then you can start zoning high density residential. There are many guides and how to's on this site, read them, and practise. You cant build your first metropol on day one . Good luck. Ps: remember, for bats to work, you need the Rush Hour expansion pack.

memories.. I really sucked at 2k, but i would LOVE to see some of the buildings recreated for sc4. Moreso then having yet ANOTHER random bat

I run the game in a window, its easy as pie to hop from msn and back to the game.. My shortcut target looks like.. [E:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe -a] So i guess -a does it, remember to have the game's resolution at the same as your desktop, else you are going to have some trouble.
