  3. Park Takeover

I’m having a rather strange problem in my city I believe it is a bug but let me know if you know otherwise. Many of the parks around my city are becoming the center for crime that is then spilling out into the rest of my city. When I select the park that game tells me that there are too many homeless around while the parks “Visitors Per Day” displays the park as having 0 homeless visitors. I’m having trouble getting rid of the homeless in my city, no matter how many bus stops I drop they won’t leave the city but when I see the homeless sims from my map they aren’t near the parks and im pretty sure homeless sims don’t commit crimes, don’t they need a house for that? Any help would be greatly appreciated, this problem has me wasting a lot of cash trying to fix.
  4. Monsters Like Trash?

The Big lizard actually eats your trash emptying the dump zone it was rummaging around in. Some people were wondering if it could be an alternative to the garbage incinerator add on. As for myself, im too scared to unleash the monster and try it for myself...if only there were saves, then i could try it without hesitation.
  5. I wanted to ask about the different types of power plants and which one is better or worse for different city setups or specializations. So far playing the game Ive found the following Wind Power: worthless, doesn’t provide much power, takes up a lot of space. But I have yet to see one in action with the Vertical Turbine attachments. I hope they make this plant worthwhile because I think they look kinda cool, (also doesn’t use any water.) Coal: provide a good amount of power but runs out of coal quickly and relies on global coal deliveries. It only ever did me good when I had a coal mine going and could restock it with coal locally. Also the amount of pollution generated has people constantly complaining about germ levels no matter how far I place it from them. Have yet to see if the “Clean Coal” generator is worth it, but by the time I could research one I was out of coal to mine and had to restructure my city. Oil: I have yet to play around with the Oil plant but I imagine it works just like the coal power plant. It looks like it produces a good amount of power but will have the downside of needing a continues supply of oil to run it in addition to the pollution it creates. I have doubts about the “clean oil” generators worth because by they’d be researched the plant would be relying on global deliveries. Solar: This provides an ok amount of power at first but when a city really begins growing it always falls short of power demands. However when you can upgrade it attach Solar arrays it becomes a whole different story. With the Solar Arrays it provides a great amount of power (even for the amount of space it takes up) and it uses no water from your city lines. The only downside I could tell is its space usage, and possibly more power problems for very large cities, but I have yet to get so far. Nuclear: a lot of people seems to have problems with their plants melting down but I have never had this problem, even in a Region with a grade school as the sole source of education. I think Nuclear power is great, it provides a lot of power and takes up a fairly “small” amount of space. The only downside I’ve experienced from them is the large amount of water needed to run them. So what do you think? Am I right? Am I wrong? What’s your favorite source of power and why?
  6. Nuclear plant

I have never had a problem with the nuclear power plant. Even in cities with a grade school for its primary source of education. Nuclear takes up very little space and produces a lot of power. The only downside i see to it is the amount of water it takes up.
  7. DLC you would want to see for this game.

How about something that includes regional disasters. Like a mother ship landing and spitting out saucers that abduct / destroy things. the region as a whole must deal with the disaster rather an individual cities. other regional disasters could include, tsunamis, Hurricanes or sinkholes. Some new regions that have special "great works" would be cool too. Like a giant suspension bridge connecting the region or an underwater Arcology site.
  8. I built a university in my city but im having trouble getting it's student population high enough to start adding other school buildings to it. Any friendly advice someone?
  9. Recycling help

I've built a well educated city and received the mission "Recycle, Re-use and Recycle" asking me to place a Recycling center. I placed the Recycling center but for some reason there is no Recycling to be collected. Im a little confused. why did my sims ask for a recycling center when the city is producing no recyclables and why in a city with a university is there no recyclables being produced?
  10. I just tried this. Abondoning the city. quiting all the way from the game and when i came back I reclimed the city and entered it. Nothing was missing. Thank you for this suggestion. I could have lost everything by "Rolling back". you saved me from hours of wasted time and frustration my friend.
  11. Futile Rant

Thank you. Reading this gave me a little hope for the future of this game.
  12. Futile Rant

After reading a few threads on here I realized that many of the Simcity community seems to have become sadly contempt with losing a hard built city from time to time. I figured these problems would die down after EA fixed their server issues but clearly this is going to be a continuing problem. Our cities are disappearing into thin air and with them several hours of our lives. Working hard on a city meanings nothing to this game when it could all just bug up and leave you looking at a blank field and 50k to build a new one. In short THIS GAME IS NOT PLAYBLE and thou EA continues to scurry around to solve these problems I doubt they really care. The Preorder hype was already enough for EA to make turn a profit on the game. The fact that they forced us to rely on their servers for our game to run proves that EA doesn’t care about its gamers, its fans, or its customers, they just care about turning a profit. Until this game is modded to play 100% offline with saves, it is not a game worth playing. I keep hearing that an offline mod isn’t possible. I sincerely hope that is not true.
  13. Im having the same problem. message reads: "Your City is not processed properly. Would you like to roll back your city to a working state or abandon your city?" Im afraid if I roll back my city it will completely disappear. Some people suggested abandoning then trying again later how has that worked for you guys? Many of the comments on here where unhelpful. You guys shouldn’t be so content with how fucking infuriating it is to lose hours of game play. Pleas post solutions not “that’s just the way it is”.
