Date: 6/26/2005 2:51:03 PM Author: 5gotowar Where could one find some 'special softwear' for .exe files?quote> You need software like Virtual PC or something like it. I'm not 100% sure how it works, since I don't have it myself, but it's supposed to be a program that allows Mac users to run PC programs. ISF

The Moose Factory (virtual Bar & Grill)

Here in Northern Kentucky, there are quite a lot of native languages, actually. By far, the most plentiful are Spanish and Japanese. Spanish for obvious reasons, and Japanese because Toyota's North American HQ is about 10 miles from my home. And we also have the big Toyota factory in Georgetown, KY along with multitudes of Japanese parts supply and manufacturing companies. It's easy to get pulled over in Georgetown because all the police cars there are Toyota Camrys and some of them are unmarked. You never know you just blew by a policeman at 80 mph until you see the flashing lights! Anyway, we also seem to have a lot of Eastern Europeans and North Africans here for reasons I can't explain... ISF P.S. N_O_Body, you forgot my Amazon Monkey and my bunnies' bowl of pellets and wad of timothy hay. We can let the Amazon Monkey slide, but the bunnies get rowdy if they don't get their pellets and hay. -
Well, I told you what Aspyr told me. Could be a load of bunk for all I know. In regards to your specific example though, I can definitely say that my cars can only turn right onto an avenue after getting off of a freeway. I always have to make sure I put in my own U-turn locations nearby. ISF

Howdy, So does this mean that you have gotten a Mac or just want to know more about how they work? If it's the former, welcome! Aspyr told me when I called them that most of the PC bug fixes were included in their regular version of Mac Rush Hour. No word yet on nightlighting though. As far as I know, plugins folders work identically as they do on PC. There are two also on Mac, one in the SimCity4 Data folder and one in the Documents folder. Personally, I put certain files in one and certain files in the other. Just my own style, but both work identically. There do seem to be some downloads that don't quite function properly in Mac. I've had a couple, but most are fine. I have a few modds, such as the NAM and many buildings which all work fine. Nightlighting doesn't work for me yet, but a few people have managed to figure out this problem. If you've searched, you've probably found some of their solutions. My biggest problem has arisen from people who turn their downloads into .exe files. Macs can't run these files without special software. When you remember your third question, let us all know! ISF

Ephorex: I teach several things, depending on what I'm needed for. Mostly, I teach advanced-level ESL, and I am now teaching advanced ESL composition. But I also teach college composition for regular American students. I taught a grammar class that was quite remedial once. Sometimes I do some work in applied linguistics, such as determining the writers of documents from handwriting, grammar, and lexical usage. Grading papers is actually quite easy. For most, I just tear them into tiny bits, put them on a pedestal, set them on fire, and dance around them while waving a dead chicken over my head. All while laughing diabolically! Mwa ha ha ha! And that's what I do to the good ones! Well, that's not how I really do it, but the truth is quite boring. Oh well, we all need our fantasies to keep our sanity, right? ISF -

It's me again. Don't make me pathetically fish for compliments this time! (Whoops, I just did...) Although, I do think my face will be totally eclipsed by my two bunny pics... Anyway, what can I say about the other pics here? I'm 28. Most others here are 15 plus or minus a few years. Everyone's so cute, but I don't want to be known as Simtropolis's creepy, underage-stalker guy... And jmusshorn, the eyes are indeed very nice, but I'm totally jealous of those luxurious, raven-black eyebrows. Mine are practially invisible. In the summertime, when they turn platinum blonde, I look like I got too close to a bonfire. Anyway, to start, a picture of me (best I could do holding the camera myself): Also, if people here can post pictures of their children, I can post pictures of my children (i.e. bunnies). Toma, on the left, is pure, furry, lagomorphic evil. She's only being nice to me for as long as it takes for her to figure out how to use me in her quest for world domination. Motchiri is her counterpoint: a sweet, laid-back, lap bunny. And Toma again. Note the evil eye: I have two more children not pictured here: Gandalf and Wrixi.

ISF Okay then, here's some shameless complimenting for you! 'Oh my God, he's so hot...' 'Wish he was mine...' 'Dayum!' 'w00t, thank God he doesn't use THOSE powers for evil... Hehehe' Does that fuel the tank? ~Jémi~ quote> In the words of Jeff Foxworthy: I've got gas this mornin'! I hope they weren't all made up. I'll post another pic soon. ISF

Got anything to make this lousy week go any faster? On a lighter note, I went to my boss's house today and was up to my armpits in weenie dogs. ISF -
9/10 It's nice and simple, like mine. ISF

What voice do you hear when you see the persons avatar above you?
Zelgadis replied to DuskTrooper's topic in Forum Games
A Japanese pachinko parlor and the silence of the people concentrating therein. (Those things use enough neon lights to make Vegas look like an Amish farmhouse.) ISF -
6/10. Good link, but not much else.

Bartender, I could use some nice Japanese umeshu (plum wine) if you have it. Spent all my free time today cleaning orange juice out of my carpet... ISF -

Amazon Monkey: not for the faint of heart (or underage). This thing will knock your hat in a creek. 1 part Captain Morgan's 1 part cuantro 1 part melon liqueur 1 part orange juice. And shake it all up, martini-style! And for another wonderful drink, the banana boat: 1 part coconut rum 1 part banana liqueur 1 part orange juice 1 part pineapple juice A bit less of a kick, but very yummy. ISF -
10/10 and I know whose eye that is. Neener neener neener! ISF

9/10 It's got color, SimCity, and Taz! What more could one ask for? ISF

Say, this seems like a fairly respectable establishment. I care to negotiate the vending of an affordable beverage. Does the proprietor of this establishment have knowledge of the mixing of an Amazon Monkey? It is my favorite martini. So, anyone for a rousing chorus of Oh Canada? ISF
