  1. worst games Worst games ever!

  2. Some advice on my city

Yeah I put like 20 or 30 cops there! I am getting better at the game: last week I couldn't get more than a 7/10, now I'm at 9/10. I am now trying to better answer the demand. So I have created another city to handle all ID, IM and IA because I want only R§§§, Cs§§§ and Co§§§ in my city. I know it's not possible (C§§§ needs janitors I believe so a few of R§) but I'd like to know how to smoothly handle the demand. I know I can play with taxes but do you have other tools in mind?
  3. Some advice on my city

You were right: after installing the Ultra transport capacity, everything is now with a beautiful green color!! I love it! Any advice on crime on my airport?
  4. Some advice on my city

Maybe I need to install the NAM Traffic Subsystem? Someone is using it on Mac? The population of my city is now around 60K, is it possible to avoid building highway? Is the pain/gain analysis worth it?
  5. Some advice on my city

Above my problem: a long avenue totally jammed. I added several subway entrances (5 on the pic) and even 2 bus stops next to each other but they are not used. The trouble is on the right where the rails go to the station: it's overcrowded. So I tried to make a subway loop to duplicate the traffic but I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
  6. Some advice on my city

After reading carefully the instructions, I think I managed to install correctly the NAM mod. Though, I don't know how it works: I can see that I can add new items, but what about tweaking my Sims to use the subway instead of their car?
  7. Some advice on my city

Hi! I tried to install NAM mod and couldn't do it: once I copy/paste the folder in the plugin folder of Sim City, my computer froze when it loaded my city. I don't think my Mac is compatible with NAM mod or I didn't follow correctly instructions. Things are getting worse and I have only 40K people in my city. The RCI demand of R§ always alternates between positive and negative. That's weird.
  8. Some advice on my city

Hi! Thank a lot for all your messages. So I think I understood how the RCI demand is working, thanks to the topic "Demand, Desirability and Abandonment", point out by Ninjachin79. I understood what went "wrong": I put as many as possible, fire & police station, schools and health systems, hence the apparition of R§§§. I will build a "ghetto" close to my polluted area (low desirability area) and put no schools in order to reduce the R§ demand. I started a new city yesterday and I handle better the demand, thanks to your help! Actually, I use regions and build a Industrial zone which is helping a lot. Now my main issue on this new city is congestion. I'll show you with a picture later. Basically, I have a high volume (and sometimes traffic jam) on one long avenue (it's a road not a avenue), close to a train station. The train station goes to the only industrial lot. The neighboorhood is full of high density residencials too. Even though I anticipated congestion by building bus stops at almost evey intersection, I still have congestion. So I decided to build a metro system and I put many metro entrance surrounding the congested avenue. But the Sims don't seem to use it or I would say the road is still jammed! It's a bit frustrating because it is the only avenue with high traffic volume in the whole town (so far). As pointed out by brondi00, I'll install NAM Mod. Basically, I just need to copy/paste the files in the plugin folder, right? I hope it will work on my MacBook Air. Could you point me out to a link that explains where to start on the Mod?
  9. Some advice on my city

Anyone? I'm still confronted with the same problem: how can "force" the building of low wealth residential? I put some low wealth R but they quickly become medium wealth R.
  10. Some advice on my city

Hi! I discovered and installed recently Sim City 4 on my MacBook Air. I only played few years ago on SNES. It's impressive to see the differences between both. Anyway, I have few questions. I have difficulty to read my RCI demand graph: Basically, this graph shows: - the demand is very high for Residential Low Wealth (R§) - the demand is very high for Residential Medium Wealth (R§§) - the demand is high for Residential High Wealth (R§§§) So I need to build more R§ and if I understand correctly, I need to build Residential in a low desirable area, right? The graph also shows that I have a negative demand for Commercial Office High Wealth, which means I have too much of these? What should I do to have a better demand?
