ME3. I never played a shooter game, and now I love it.

Hi, I built an all R and C city, and got up to 400K sims, but then I experienced heavy traffic problems. Although I upgraded roads, put bus stops every where, used the street-car wherever I could, yet it did'nt help. So now, because of the traffic problems, fire trucks do'nt get to fire on time (although the said they fixed this problem on the 1.7 patch), so I loose buildings, doze them, and new sims come over and build again. This scenario repeat itself, and my city moves between 390K to 405K sims. I know that I have to solve the traffic problems, but yet, did not find how. Any ideas ?

Yes. Always. No priority to fire truck, police car or ambulance.

I should say, welcome to the club. I think thousands lost their cities the way you descibed it. The only good thing, is when you build a new one, you're much more experienced, so it'll be easier. But always keep in mind it can get lost... until they'll fix it.

I had the same problem at least 3 times, and was told thru this forum that it happens a lot. I very much agree with rhese quotes.

Happend to me few times. See my posts under loosing a city or lost city. Anyway, I also start to wonder wether its a fun game or the eventually will loose the market.

I play Simcity 2013 since it was available, usually in a 2 or 3 cities region. This the third! time I get a message like " the city is not processing well...", and come the options: rollaback or abort. Whenever I chose rollback, I got an empty city. I like the ga,e when it works, but this starts to discourage me from doing so. Anybody has the same problem ? Thanks

In general, I agree with you, I.e. after the first days when I could not play because of the server problem, I believed it will get solved soon, and it did. I start to adopt the new concepts of micro planing, and taking care of intr-relation between 2 cities. Still it is annoying when jus tonight (9 days after release) money I sent from one city to the othe, does not get there, and I just lost the money. Let's be honest, the game needed few more month of thorough testing and debugging. But I like to play the game, better than SC4. I hope that in next few months, they will fix all or most of the bugs.

The OFFLINE issue always arises, and it's of course legitimate to demand it. But there is another aspect, where the offline issue makes so much trouble. Yesterday night I play with my 3-cities region, which had already an "atlantis" city (i.e. a lost city, which Maxis/EA promised to recover for me), and just when one of the remainder 2 cities start thriving, I got a message saying that the city was not built correctly, and I have eather create a new city, or ask for a rollback. I chose to rollback, and then what ? I got an EMPTY city. Now, if the game was a normal offline game (leave aside server connection problems), then in this case, I would reload the game from my personal recent save. I had to abandon the whole region.

Hi, Sewage plants are bad for the city. You may use maybe 1 or 2 UNTIL you have enogh money to build the next building in the list (forgot what exactly its name - Sewage filtration plant or so). Now, if u built 7-8 sewage plants, u unknowingly poluted the ground so bad, that of course the land value decrease dramatically, but it also increased the level of germs in the neighbourhood. The pour sims probabely crowded your cliniics, if u had some. Hope this wil help u in your next region.

Hi, Yesterday, I added 2 cities to my tiny 3-city region. After a while, I tried to get back to the first city, but could not get there - only see it (there was no load option). So, I quit SC and reenter. This time, when I tried to switch to the first city, I still had not the load option, but instead, I got the following message: Needs Shoppers The city is currently processing. Check back soon to play or visit... Well, when I try just to see the city, what I see now is and empty square, in other words, the city is gone... Any ideas why ? Thanks

Reading this thread guys, is enjoying even more the the game itself ! ecause everything is true, but still funny. I had some of the problems above, also.

Hi, First, yes I'm on Simcity4 (for now). The name of the car garage I downloaded, is Modular 8 level parking garage. In the game, it offers a variety of car garages. BTW, if I'll install Simcity 2013 on the same computer, will it destroy my existing Simcity 4 installation ? Thanks
