  1. As soon as i begin a second city in the same region, the RCI starts to go crazy demanding what seems like infinate amounts of RCI, mostly Residential. So i make a third city and fill it with nothing but Residential, but demand for Res remains maxed out? Anyone else aware of this or able to offer some suggestions, would be much appreciated thanks.
  2. Embezzlement? Wait, what?

Lol! At least who ever it is, they aren't taking much
  3. Well now we can see the "vision" they have for sim city and why always online DRM was essential.
  4. I Wonder how long it will take for consumers to get any sort of rights for digital media, and whether or not it will swing in favor of the people or the companies that abuse them. I spent a thousand dollars last year on products that demanded i comply to not owning them, after having paid, but before gaining access to actually use meh
  5. Wish i shared your enthusiasm, but glad you are enjoying it, and things are working for you. For me server issues are the least of the problems.
  6. Never have been a fan of Cookie cutter design implementations in order to deal with inherent inadequacies in a sandbox simulation game. The whole point for me is the fun of experimentation be it failure or success, the process of watching the simulation grow and evolve, the act of fine tuning and tweaking to increase efficiency, or whatever needs i deem interesting at the time. If there is only one way to make traffic pathing work properly then the simulation itself is the problem, not my creative enthusiasm for experimentation while playing a sandbox simulation. Now i know there have always been issues when dealing with "Simulation" in a computed virtual space, and i also know i have not the slighted idea why that is, but i respect that people far smarter then myself have not been able to resolve it and so i overlook ultra realism in favor of what is fun and engaging. I do not expect things to run perfectly and to always make sense, for the most part i enjoy the mystery of cause and effect sometimes apparent in these types of simulations, and the time it takes to figure things out, to discover and work around the quirks so to speak. But (was told never to start a sentence that way) Simcity as is right now, at least to me feels very broken at a core level, i have tried numerous city's with as many road layouts as i could come up with and i still find much of the simulations behavior to be bugged to the point of me no longer having fun, yes i have gone on and created a city with 175k pop that was doing fine, but watching 80% of my Public Transportation force run in circles, garbage service maxed out and still not being picked up, firetrucks unable to deal with more then 1 fire at a time, power going out with massive MW surplus, money not being transferred to other citys, workers not actually migrating to the work, unemployment while factory's cry about worker shortages ect.... it became to much and wasnt any fun for me. Cheers Edit: going to look into the interchange solution, as i really really want to have fun with this damn game.
  7. Just started up another city, was getting around 5k pop when some fires broke out, plopped a fire station down to deal with it but by the time the first truck was out things were spreading pretty fast so i decided to take out a bond and get another truck, sadly the second truck just went to where the first truck was and then followed making it useless as they dont actually combine forces. Seriously broken. Edit. Game is unplayable for me at the moment guess ill go back to SC4 for now sigh.
  8. To me that's part of the charm. I feel like I have a tiny model city on my desk, and the sims are tiny little dumb morons who do really dumb things. I tend to think it's more funny than anything. Tonight I am going to go out of my way to try to fool them and see what sort of dumb things I can get them doing. Sure a few of them doing funny dumb things would be pretty funny and give things a bit of character, that i would be fine with, but watching a row of 10+ Fire trucks all following each other in a long chain going around in circles half the time just feels buggy and i don't like it.
  9. Out of all the reviews i have read not one of them mentions how horrible the Pathing and AI logic are, i am finding it to be so bad its nearly unplayable after around 20k pop. Mostly things will just burn down or crime goes crazy as police and firetrucks all line up going from one disaster to another. I thought Maxis went on and on about how sophisticated this new engine was??? Am i missing something here. thoughts?
