The way it looked from the beginning they release the Retail version of the game and we were to "beta" it while MC released more content I guess why they worked out the bugs. The game can be a beast if the unfinished goodies are finished and released (ie Mass Transit, GEMs, etc) I take it they ran into problems while adding new content into the game and then a poor sales that limited there "playing" with the will be added later content ideas. I am hopeful that they finish up there project and update/patch the game to its intended means... PO was also a bad call as all city builders are player vs the landscape/resources. On that note a "trading system" would have been needed which I could see where they were going with PO but to limit features was its downfall from Solo to PO. I personally payed for 3 months more but let it expire as it wasn't worth it for a few extra buildings and the buses...

Will you continue your Planet Offer if the features and gameplay remain same...

There needs to be some big improvements and fixes. Biggest problem I have is pollution in a city of 600,000+ people also traffic, plus the education bug. I am still learning the ins and outs so far and it is still a buggy game, I played the closed beta and the game still feels like it... The interface is a bit cleaner tho. Realistically I will cave and probably subscribe this Friday.......... -

Originally posted by: MontrealEst I cant even Install the game, I freeze at the earth installation thing, how did you ever get past it? I have waited for 1/2 an hour. I am currently talking to costumer service, but so far they haven't been any help. I havent got the game to work ever since it arrived in the mail a week ago. My computer meets all the system requirements too and I REALLY WANNA play the GAME!quote> I am still waiting for a valid CD Key, I had registration issues in the beginning and had to disable a spambot on my ISP email settings to get CXL's emails. But now that I got the validation email I run into another issue an invalid CD key. So I am waiting for my new one.... TWP Direct said I should get one tomorrow.... Better or I will be asking for a refund! Because I had this game for 9 days and haven't played it at all........ I submitted my CD key problem last Saturday with phone support. -
Cool great work Sam, can't wait to get my valid CD Key. One question are you in PO or in solo play? I may go all out and do PO, but I want to get the "system" down first. I did play the beta too however, not sure if its change as far as the mechanics go - ie zoning, taxes, expenses, and resources? Anyway keep up the good work! Keep them coming!

Very strange set up they have for use NA buyers, I had an invalid CD Key and MC told me to contact TMPDirect there NA Distributor for a new CD Key. I received my first key via MC on the day of release and I got my game physically the day before release. (I had email validation issues because of my ISP) So now I am waiting for my new CD Key that they told me it can take a few business days.........I called TWPDirect on Saturday to submit this to them. I am still awaiting my CD Key.... Rant start...... As for there excution for this release it was very poor.... This was not a massively over hyped game that had record numbers of people waiting 3 days before release at there neighborhood Gamestop, and is selling on eBay for $200 buck but any standard PC game that is released now days.... But as far as issues go they are anything but standard, never once did I have to go into my ISP settings and turnoff my Spambot because this is the only email i can't get which was the first cause of my problems?!?!?! I have owned mostly every major release for PC's for the last 10 years or so.... Rant over..... -
Tons of problems, there North America hot line is bombed with calls. I had the same issue and it was my ISP that had a spambot that prevented me from getting my activation email. But now that is fixed my CD Key is not valid.......so now I have to wait "a few business days" for a new key......... This is a big disappointment MC really messed up bad for this product release....I never had registration problems ever with any game I have bought..........

Contacted TWPDirect and still awaiting my new CD Key!!! Very fustrating!!! Email them to resend you confirmation but double check you spam settings...

You would think that upon spending 40 bucks for a game (this means for monte cristo that you are a potential PO subscriber) Monte Cristo will make sure it reaches you on time but I guess MC was just after our money and it kinda makes them biased towards people who have fast internet connections and who can just order a digital download instead of waiting for the game to arrive in the mail.quote> USPS is the most unreliable shipper in the world... I'll give it a it longer then I'll go to bed :-(((quote> I have the same issue, MC has replied back to me earlier and said they resent it to me and still nothing? I replied back about me having a beta account with the email I used and that the game hasn't been released yet in the US and they didn't reply back. That was about 12 hours ago, BTW I received my CD Key about an hour after my last email with MC about 4PM. I can't wait to play but I can't register!!!! Guess I will wait to the AM to play and get some sleep.... -

Originally posted by: IntoxiNation Well I just received this from Cities XL: Hi Jamie, First of all, we would like to thank you for taking an interest in Cities XL. Thank you for your e-mail. You'll receive your key tomorrow, via e-mail. The offical date for release is tomorrow. Best regards, The Cities XL Team Question answered! I was wondering about that and wondering even more if they would respond. I must same I am highly impressed. Considering what all they must be going through this week with the release, to get back to me within about 30 minutes is totally awesome. Kudos to the CitiesXL team! quote> I been having issues registering the game and they got back to me in about 20mins, still going back and forth with them but it may be a date issue. Anyone having issues registering there game? (I do not have a CD key also) -

Same here as the OP. I'm in New York and I haven't received and CD Key or an email from MC. I pre-ordered from MC and got mine today. Guess maybe tomorrow.... -
PO pricing can be better.... Maybe 5 or 6 bucks a month, may be 12 dollars for 3 months pre-paid. Personally I will see how well the game is and maybe just pay for PO if its good....
