  1. Has anyone had this issue, just lost a city I had spent many hours building. It said the servers were having trouble processing the city, said I had to rollback, when I did it is now disappeared. THis is why Always only and cloud saves just are not a good idea.
  2. I have a university, High school, Grade school, still, only 60% of my students enroll. i tried just a university by itself, university and community college together, I have bus stops all over the city for full coverage, why are there over 1000 students not enrolled? Am i doing something wrong?
  3. Sales for Sim City 5

Yep Windows 8 is another example MS bragged about strong initial sales it has since tanked (Along with their tablets). Its how long it sells after launch is key.
  4. Sales for Sim City 5

Sales will quickly fall after launch week it wont catch sc4. People now know just how shallow and limited the game is. SC4 is still popular and being modded and played, this game will have a short life span and die quickly.
  5. Disasters in SimCity (2013)

How about an option to turn them off? I do ot play SC to see some lame disaster destroy it and it to grow right back without issue, it's stupid.
  6. Sales for Sim City 5

Sales do not equal quality.................Often more sales = aiming at the lowest common denominator. IS Mcdonalds the best burger joint? IS Justin beiber better then led zepplin? People bought it for the name only, how many will be playing this in 3-4 months? Not many unless they make drastic changes.
  7. Free Game?

Thats actually a way better list then I thought. I will probably get Dead Space 3. Ill prob play that more then Sim city lol. I would much rather free DLC or expansion though I think that would have been the best they could and should have done.
  8. This game isn't really that bad

Playing SC4 with mods is an infinitely better game, how sad is that.
  9. Yep this and the poor simulation engine ruin this game for me, already stopped playing, biggest let down for me in a long time. Unless they fix this agme up I won't be playing it much if at all.
  10. This game isn't really that bad

The more you play the more and more you realise the game is a mess and more cracks begin to show. The simulation makes no sense. This game needed a lot of fixing. Already gave up playing it tbh. Some of the design decisions do not make any sense.
  11. The more you play the worst this game gets, more and more issues surface, this game needed 6 months more development and some design decisions were just plain bad.
  12. I am losing all patience with this game, built another city up to 100 + K people, now, over and over some buildings constantly say they have no water and power.....Despite me having double the capacity needed, it's like it cannot find it's way to all buildings. I even built new plants right next to buildings in question, but it keeps happening over and over. Same happens with water. What is going on here is it another example of bad pathfinding?
  13. City not Processing Properly

game has been out near 2 weeks and I just lost another city due to EA's incompetence, worst 60 bucks i've spent on a game in a very long time. Said could not process my city, rolled back and now my city is gone.
  14. Shoppers hell

It's poor design, developers should have seen this early on.
  15. IMO this game is not meant for big populated cities. LAter on buildings you need are so big you need to bulldoze blocks at a time just for room. Then there is the horrid traffic AI and unbalanced RCI demand, and services bleed you dry quick, this game is a mess imo. Yes it is possible and rather quite easy. That is, if all you are aiming for is the high population. Don't build commercial. Don't build industry. Just build resedential. Fill it with parks. Fill it with some services to keep sims happy. And...that's pretty much all you need. Let me explain how this works. There is a massive core game deisgn flaw in SimCity: commercial and industry is actually not required. The parks will function as some sort of job for the Sims (at least that is the current theory) but the Sims don't actually commute to the Parks, making you completely traffic free! Better yet since crimes are broken, building a resedential only city will ensure you are completely crime-free yet filled with a infinite amount of criminals! You see, criminals only commit crime on commercial and industrial buildings, building a city without those garuentees that your crimials will just wonder around and not do anything! Whats the fun in doing this? Doesnt it defeat the purpose just using an exploit like that? I like mimicking and building a real life city, doing this just seems pointless and boring to me.
  16. SimCity Update: Straight Answers from Lucy

The arrogance, and total dis-regard for Customer feedback and apathy towards the core issues are disgusting. Never will spend another dime on EA or maxis. This statement is one of the most ignoranct things I have seen a company release, totally ignoring the fanbase. Sad day when after all thast been said EA and maxis still don't realise games are made for gamers, not what they want to make. Many of her statement are so easily rebutted it makes me wonder if EA has the worst PR people in the business. They built an mmo? Smallest mmo I've ever seen, with limited mmo features. We are not stupid and see through that BS, Ea and maxis thinks we are stupid Polygon actually lowered the score before Gamespot published their review AFAIK, but that doesn't matter. Both review scores are pretty ridiculous, especially because they're both based on a very temporary condition. They both aren't relevant to the state of the game now, and will be even less in a week. Yeah except many reviews site major core issues not even related to the online fiasco. There goes your entire argument. Eurogamer goes into detail on whats wrong with the game that has NOTHING to do with the shoe horned anti consumer drm.
  17. This I dont always want to have to build multiple cities to have a large city thats idiotic imo.
  18. Tile size is imo, the tiny tiles are moronic for a 2013 sim city game.
  19. Eurogamer Review

Spot on, the major issues are not even the always online garbage they insisted on, the simulation as it is is a mess.
  20. Why all the Simcity hate?

Besides the always online the game once you get into the simuation is a mess as well.
  21. Bulldozing bug? Cannot plop buildings

Thanks man I tried everything but parks lol.
  22. Education enrollment question

Thanks, but like I said I tried that already, and I also noticed I have 1 hospital that is treating 25/50 patients, but the game keeps saying my hospitals are not servicing enough people. If you look at the Education and Health data layers you'll be able to see why you're being alerted of this problem. For education my guess is that you don't have enough physical busses getting your students to school. When your schools open watch the education data layer to see how your school busses are getting to your schools. In the education data layer you will be able to see how many students are waiting at what bus stops and how full your busses are. This will help diagnose your issue. Also note that Universities and Community Colleges do not not have busses so you have to have your students drive or take public transportation to the school. As for hospitals what is most likely happening is that you have sick people outside of the coverage of your hospital. Watch the health data later and you'll most likely see sick people wandering around the streets who are too far to walk or get ambulanced into the hospital. The way to fix this is to maybe add a small, cheap, low capacity clinic where you've got pockets of bad hospital coverage. I know all this, have maxed out busses, added 2 clinics right next to sick people, 0 patients.............. Well if you have the capacity, coverage and effective transportation to and from Education Facilities and Hospitals then there's really no reason to be having the problems you're having. If you understand capacity, coverage and effective transportation concepts then sometimes cities take a few days or so to adjust to the new buildings and setups. Maybe you just need to allot enough time to pass in order to properly diagnose whether your infrastructure is an issue or not? That could be it, I hate no cheetah speed.
