Hello Again! I've been busy this week so I couldn't play much, but I intend to post regularly in a weekly basis, so let's get started. REPLIES Iviaarten: Thanks for your post and for your advice. As you can see, I've followed it and installed a terrain mod and a tree controller. (It took most of my play time this week, since I didn't even know what were I doing, and I had some incompatibility problems, but I fixed them and now the region map looks better! I especially love the water new textures ) Bakercity and Schulmanator: Thanks for the welcome words, I hope you'll like future updates as well. I had to make some minor changes to the map because of some weirds graphical errors with Apalachian Terrain mod, like it didn't allow me to leave an all water tile, so I had to ad some small islands. Thanks to whoever made this mod, it looks amazing! Three River County Chronicles Chapter II (A small patch of pristine Oil) Since the foundation of the Crossroads town, more and more people had been coming to see the wonders of the Park, and the windy road that lead to the village got clogged and Simnation goverment could no further deny the petitions for new transportation ways. So the Three River Integral Rail system (or TRIRS), was designed and supposed to be built within a year. Rails began to spread around the area, and trains full of tourists started to bring even more money to Simdiana Crossroads. The population quickly grew, and lots of vacational houses were built and sold or rented to wealthy sims. Besides farmers and tourists, there were other collectives interested in Three River County. Scientific expeditions in the early times of the National Park discovered what was supposed to be a huge oil deposit near the coast. Of course, as a restricted environmental area, only ecofriendly businesses and activities were permitted, and petrol explotations in the peninsula were strictly forbidden. But the industrial pressure was big, and to go along with the recent corruption scandals in the goverment, the newly elected president was more than willing to take a pen and make some land use changes, supposedly in exchange of some past favors from influencial corporations. So finally Simmons Oil and gas Corp. got the permits to extract Oil in the Three River Peninsula, just a few Km from Simdiana Crossroads, whose residents protested heavily (with no succeed at all). Troy Simmons, founder and CEO of the company, directed himself the operation and the advertising campaign. Instead of pollution and environmental destruction, they offered development and job creation. As there were no roads in that area, Simmons used the existing TRIRS for moving people and construction materials, and an industrial port was promptly built. Soon, the Pristine industrial district was fully working, with lots of workers living in poor quality prefab houses, and lots of dark chimneys spitting smoke. Simdiana Crossroads passenger Station, with its new commercial avenue for tourists. As the population grows and more people come to live here, a small school is built to match the new educational demand, just next to the Three River Museum and the sheriff Office. A smart group of sims got permit to build this small recreational area near the Park limits. It has train access and lots of natural routes branching from this place. This is a nice rail crossing I made. I'm having great fun with railways, but I still find puzzle pieces and NAM features quite difficult. I could use some advice here, and practice will make it better. The newly built Oil power plant, which provides energy to the industrial complex, by Simmon Oil and Gas Corp. Pristine Industrial district's freight station and industrial port, both with rail connection. The pay is supposed to be good, but not so the laboral conditions. Three River Integral Railway System (TRIRS), in its actual development stage. And that's all for today, I hope you enjoy it and leave your comments Regards. Elvidur

Hello there, friends! I've played SC4 before, but I discontinued years ago. Now I installed back my old Deluxe Edition game and decided to download some mods for the first time, especially the ones I found that fixed the stuff I hated most about the game (Like vanilla traffic), and some buildings I did like from the STEX. - English is not my mother tongue, and while I believe my writing skills are decent enough, please forgive me for any grammar or ortography mistakes I make. (Feel free to correct me in those cases, lol) - This game will be played with mods (Basically NAM, SAM, SPAM and some downloaded custom lots), and without cheats (I want to control the RCI and balance my budgest for myself) - The intent for this journal is to tell the story of my region from scratch. Since I am not a pro player, first entries could be of poor quality for you (Yeah, I've seen some other journals...Wow), but I aim to increase complexity and make more detailed towns in the future. - I want to thank everyone on this site, you're my inspiration for creating something in this game, and I make this post in the hope that you will like it. And if you don't... Just tell me and I will stop Feel free to give some tips and ideas, and I'd thank you all for highlighting me any catastrophical mistake that could lead to city failure if possible. Three River County Chronicles Chapter I (A pristine community) In 1952, due to its extensive animal and vegetal diversity, and the cultural and recreational value of its landscapes, Simnation decided to grant the Three River Peninsula the status of National Park. Access was allowed, but since no previous maps or roads existed, only scientifics and wilderness lovers would visit the area. In 1953, a geologist and explorer called Simdiana Jones was hired for fully cartographing the territory, and suggesting a way to bring all those natural marvels to the common sim. Several years later, the work was done, and the first roads started to appear, curving around the spots with the most stunning landscapes and views. Since the Peninsula was only connected to the continent throught one point, and the center of the Park could be too far away from any habitated land, Simnation goverment allowed Simdiana to found a little settlement with scientific and divulgation purposes. It was built at the end of the road network, where the road would fork in the future into several paths into the wilderness, and it was named "Simdiana Crossroads" by popular voting on the internet. With these improvements, the area grew in interest and fame, and more and more people started to visit the newborn touristic attraction and learn about their surroundings. When the new millenium came in year 2000, Simdiana Crossroads was a little thriving community, where several businesses had opened their gates to the public. Around two hundred people lived there, getting prosper with the visitors simoleons. The main problem they had was supplying the increasing population. From the several solutions that people offered, Simdiana Crossroads town council chose the "Landbridge Meadows ecologic and organic grow farm", which pretended to start its activity within the Landbrige that connects to to mainland. Fields soon started to be built, and crops soon began to grow, nearly as fast as the farming community grew. This is an airview for the region's current state. Aerial view of Simdiana Crossroads, a little touristic village in the Three River National Park. The village has several businesses, including motels, car-repairing and a little clinic for both villagers and unlucky travellers. A public parking is the perfect place to stay your car while trekking in the wilds. (Thanks Nexis for the parking lot) "Landbridge Meadows Ecologic and organic grow farms". Of course, the entire community is solar powered, and trees are planted in daily basis. You haven't tasted a better tomato! Thanks for reading!
