Yes, just put them in the plugin folder. Also, there are ways to keep the folder organized...just dont ask me! Brown boxes appear when there isnt the full list of dependancies downloaded. To fix that, read the readme file of each thing you download. If there is a dependancy that you dont have yet, then download that. Also, there is a No more Brown Boxes mod on the STEX that will eliminate that and put only a small red and green blob on the lot.

The creators are actualy people who create the buildings and lots. They actually arent buildings themselves. Ill tonkso is from the UK and creates wonderful english buildings, Pegusus makes wonderful Rural and forested lots, along with awesome dock and seashore lots, Simgoober makes alot of general lots. There are alot more Creators that make wonderful lots, You just have to find them

Those are creators. Just type in their names in the STEX search and it will come up with all their works

You should go to your documents then find the Simcity 4 folder. Once you find that, click on the plugin folder and thats where all buildings, mods, etc. go. No need to mess up the .SC4 files. In fact, some files come with an install program that send the files automatically to that folder. You also can just go into the plugin folder, and just send any file you dont want straight to the recycle bin if you dont want it. Just remember that if you do delete a prop, building, etc, that it will show up as a brown box in the game. And, BTW. Welcome to simtropolis! More than 50,000 gallons of gasoline have been saved so far in the fuel cell Equinox, more than 100 of which are part of the largest consumer fuel cell demonstration fleet in the world. The feel of the regenerative brakes was one change that resulted from customer comments. 168 miles for a fueling isnt very much, but seeing that the cell holds only 4.2 kg, AND thats 168 miles emission free, thats pretty impressive. I really hope that people stop being stingy enough to start paying to build the infrastructre needed for this technology. But that wont happen for a long time

No problem I didnt know you had ATI though. Buggy little card it is in my opinion. But by the looks of your specs, that seems like a plausible solution. Unfortunately, newer computers dont like running SC4 too well. I had to change my Dual core to run as a single core for it to work properly. And with those specs, it probably just freaked out and didnt show texturing properly. But glad you could get it fixed. On a side note, if you ever have any questions, check the Omnibus. Excellent source of tips and tricks available for newcomers and oldies alike And if all else fails, just ask.

I definately am looking for the future of hydrogen. Electric just isnt practical enough for certain situations. Firstly, an ingame pic would be amazing I really dont quite know what your talking about except a mental picture. A couple of suggestions... Is sticky keys on? That happened to me once. I was all flustered because i couldnt zone, and i found out that it was sticky keys making trouble Is your terrain high or flat enough? Buildings cant be built in the water or on a 90 degree incline ya know! Also, there is a set of keys that turns zones off (i just remembered this, but i dont feel like erasing the rest, Just in case). Im pretty sure its zoneria. Just hit control x, then type it in. My high school was about 2400 also. Its located in a town of 34,000 so, like others have said, a large school with 100,000 would be too much. id say it would go more along the lines of-- Small - 50-500 Medium - 501-1200 Large - 1201-3000 Price wise, you can do some research about costs if you need to. Some schools have budget reports on their websites. (yes, there are small high schools with about 50 kids. Theres one around where i live that has 50 in the high school. but its also a k-12 school)

Astronelson and roflyoshi are right. Maxis is no longer and EA is too involved in the sims to care about simcity anymore. Personally, i believe that these petitions are worthless, because EA wont listen to the consumers. SC4 is the best and last SC game to be made, plain and simple, in my opinion

Well it could be graphic card related. They do wear out you know. Because ive had problems with my SC4 game with having black spots everywhere, and it is the Graphics card going out. (ive fixed by changing how it runs, but that may only last a bit longer) But like yunxiang said, try updating your drivers. 7-10-2008 is definately too old to continue working properly. If that doesnt work, then always check the thread or other sources for information
