  1. thanks everyone, everything appears to be working good and the city is how it was when I last left it the game kept crashing on me at first because I forgot some basic things (installing vid card and sound card drivers and patching the game from sc.com, etc) but now its all good
  2. yep, that's fine so when I copy those over and start the software my city should be there just like in the old install, right? so here is my course of action install SC4 on new hard drive > delete My Docs/SimCity 4 (folder) > copy old My Docs/SimCity 4 (folder) > paste > reinstall things like the NAM > play game is that correct?
  3. I just bought a new hard drive and installed windows XP fresh on it I still have my old hard drive with my cities, etc so when I re-install sim city, can I just copy and paste my old region into the regions folder and it'll work? I'll obviously be putting all of the mods back into the plugins folder, but just wondering so when I install sim city it'll "overwrite" the existing folders and files, but then I can just copy and paste my original region into the regions folder and it should work, right?
  4. that is the coolest police building ive seen downtown looks great, I like it when people have at least some water in their downtown areas like yours good job
  5. Urland, a (mostly) rural coastline

wow, thanks for another update...how the heck do you get away with streets in those dense looking areas? I like the modern buildings and the moulin rouge...oh yeah...and nice statue of liberty!
  6. Urland, a (mostly) rural coastline

your famrlands are perfect...they look exactly as they do here in North Dakota from the air this city looks so realistic, I love it another perfect update from nardo
  7. Three Rivers Region

dedgren, can you show how to add additional city squares to your region after you've already begun building on your region without losing previous work as you've done in that last pic
  8. Urland, a (mostly) rural coastline

nardo, I certainly did like everything....you should attempt to make a large central plaza similar to Marienplatz...my favorate place in all of Deutschland
  9. The Arctic Circle

well I think your journal is coming along quite nicely I hope the Russians get crushed so as not to interrupt Christmas....or as we call it in the US now...the holidays  do you ever notice that the only time anyone uses punctuation or capitalization on forums is when they're attempting to criticize someone else's grammar...they make sure to use exact proper grammar when they do it so as not to allow for any sort of rebuttal keep it up mayor#1
  10. The Pacalisan Republic

I like how you've incorporated some historical sites into your city how about some region shots?
  11. Three Rivers Region

dedgren, your format of CJing is unique as is most other people's if someone does not like your style of CJing, then who cares, you are allowed to CJ as you please I think your work is excellent, when I made a canyon similar to yours I just lowered it to the proper depth and then used the "level terrain" tool is there a reason you don't do this? perhaps I'll have to wait and find out.......
  12. Far Away and Long Ago

wow, great idea on the picture, it looks like one huge shot that intersection a few updates ago is hilarious and really shows that no matter what you do the sims still insist on taking the way you dont want them to take your coastal areas are excellent and use of tunnels is perfect
  13. QuaintsVille

for your airport, I like to go off of population too....what is the population of the region or of Quaintsville? I voted no because I didn't think Quaintsville looked quite big enough for an international airport, however I didn't know the population of the big picture or the commercial development
  14. QuaintsVille

this is a very positively attituded community....placing rows of trees around those industrial areas should knock out some pollution excellent work
  15. The Arctic Circle

simply marvelous, a CJ I can relate too....hope to see more
