  1. Enabling Nvidia 540M

Many thanks for your suggestions. However, it seems that I can only switch GPUs for individual programs through the Nvidia control panel. I checked the BIOS, but there's nothing about the GPU in there at all. You can understand my frustration when a PC that runs at several terahertz can't run SC4 all that well!
  2. Hi All, I just recently bought a new laptop with pretty good specs, but am having some trouble running SC4 Deluxe. Although I have a Nvidia 540M 1GB GPU, the game doesn't seem to make any use of it. In the Nvidia control panel, I opted to have SC4 run with the Nvidia GPU rather than the default integrated graphics, but when I start playing the game it's evident that the game is using integrated Intel graphics, not the Nvidia GPU (and with integrated graphics, it does not run very well). I've looked through the forums for fixes and have found a few that help me make the game run more smoothly, but not necessarily allow me to utilize my GPU, so I was wondering if anyone here has the same GPU and is having similar issues. Thanks. My specs: Intel i5 (Sandy Bridge) w/ turbo boost @ 2766 GHZ Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit 6 GB RAM
