SAFE Nuclear Power!!! BETTER Nuclear Power!!! The people at the FDG Corp., who have been busy cleaning up your radiation messes, thought what if we could contain all that radiation before it spread. We found the solution and now can stop the spread of radiation from your nuclear power plant even during a massive explosion. Apparently while working on containing radiation, they have also found a way to get more juice out of those atom thingies or whatever you call them and now the FDG Corp. can offer you a variety of new choices in nuclear power. In addition, we here at the FDG Corp found modifying the in game power plant, less than easy (A BIG pain). Therefore, there is also a "Blank" Nuclear Power plant included for users to make there own nuclear power plants a heck of a lot easier. There are 4 lots in this pack: 1) A "blank" nuclear power plant, (2) the base "safe" nuclear power plant (S), (3) The "enhanced" nuclear power plant (E), and (4) the "enhanced safe" nuclear power plant (E - S). See the Readme for additional details and information. -
The new airport is really nice, another great BAT. It sure must have been pretty hairy landing a 747 at the old airport. It seems like things are spinning out of control: Motorway completions, thugs playing football (and no longer rioting), islands trying to gain independence (maybe the outer islands need to import some Tokaran rebels to help out their cause), claustrophobic airport corridors (good old Heathrow) and maybe time distortions. I have assembled pictures to show the Thames

After seeing the excellent Edmonton Transportation Map Mod by NewJerseyDevil and the Melbourne Transportation Map Mod, I was inspired to create a Transportation Map Mod. I remember someone expressing interest in a British Transportation Map Frogface

I'll miss those Donnato brothers. Great to see that you'll continue making improvements. This is one of my favorite CJ and one of my favorite developed regions. I'm glad to see the area still continues to improve. I'd also love to see the downtown area again, and the old city especially beuatified. Thanx for continuing this CJ, it must be tough there in Iceolation.!

I just realized I had 99 posts and wanted to celebrate #100 here.Imagine only 3 years for 100 posts, at this rate I'll hit 1,000 in only 30 Years. Welome to the M2 station - Change here for Pro-THAMES! When local press showed up at the Pro-THAMES (Pro Trains - Halt Auto and Motorway ExpansionS) office still located in the Centre Point Tower in Thames for comment about the recent completion of the M2 loop, the press found the offices locked shut and a note on the door stating: The completion of the M25 [sic M2] debacle is a national disgrace but we're to busy to comment as we're off to Mainsborough for some Kong Pao Beef and a ride on the monorail line.

Wow another great transportation system and another great tour. There were some pretty sights on that trip especially passing the Radcliffe Library. The only thing missing was the monotrail train. Thames Electric's new tower fits in very nice; however I'm surprised the Victorians weren't complaining that it is a fallic symbol. Froggy, I hate to remind you as I am enjoying Mainsborough way too much, but before Sucess Journal sidetracked us we were on a journey up the coast toward the outer islands. I believe leaving Membury to Severn. Looking foward to more. [Edit: Congrats of completing the 1st half of your exams and best wishes for success.]

Eureka! Irresponsible suburbia returns. I can't wait for my 20 minute drive to the local supermarket in back of my house. Or calmy walking down those high speed roads with no sidewalks. At least we'll still have a place to meet our neighbors at the Wal-Marts and shopping malls. Go Wendgram!! I hope you show his design v Hiro's.

Great title and opening paragraph. How absurd a world of polygons and codes. I'm still chuckling by the end of the page. Unfortunately some of that evil code has attacked your last update and made some of it nonsense [laceName w:st=on>DucklaceName> laceType w:st=on>BaylaceType>], I hope you fix it. Looks like you have a good storyline. I didn't see any in the pond.

The Empire of Chaumont - 'Delightfully Oppressive'

Congrats on another great video production. The stampeding deer and ferry turning around and docking are really entertaining. It great to see the city in motion. -
British [UK] Transportation Map Mod
fgottes replied to fgottes's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Le_harv thanks so much for your feedback. As you say London is not all Britian, but I got to pick something. I admit my knowledge of the country is limited especially outside London. About the only thing which is universal is the blue motorway, which seems distinct from the rest of the world. I have gone back and forth on wheter to consider the region view in SC4 a true regional map. The size of regions in SC4 are really the size of cities in real life. In addition, regional maps almost never display side streets, but the regional map in SC4 does. So I think of it as more than a city map. As for the grid, I know it sucks and not popular in UK, but I don't have any real transportation in my cities, so I just quickly plopped a grid to display the various transport types. Unfortunately I do not believe dashed colors are possible. The mod is now uploaded on the STEX. I would be happy to release a new more british or more regional version using Green for A Roads [ie Avenues] (but I can't use dark green b/c you can't see it against the green terrain background) or make any other changes should people desire. Anyway take a look at the mod on the STEX and let me know what you think and if you have any more ideas on translating standard map to the SC4 map.. jackel.22 - I see I got the London colors down. Since SC4 doesn't have real routes A-B but changes colors based on road types, I used the orange for A Routes as Avenues, and the Red color for A Routes as the One Way Road. -
British [UK] Transportation Map Mod
fgottes replied to fgottes's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
I had forgot I was hosting this thread. Here are some in game pictures and the new region transport legend. All the colors are clearly visible and distinguishable from one another in the transport view. The Legend now displays one way roads and streets. Comments or questions appreciated. I just need to a little time and I'll have it up on the stex. -
Great CJ, Great Maps, Great Story, Great test. I agree w/ Darmok the stadium is just south of the NE Beltway. A game, McDonalds and Walmart - I see you got a trifecta.

British [UK] Transportation Map Mod
fgottes replied to fgottes's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Wallasey thanks for the heads up on Streetmap.co.uk Since streetmap doesn't have a legend, I would say it appears the system of classifying roads on streetmap is as follows: At regional level At Local Level Motorway - Blue Motorway - Blue A Primary - Green A Route - Red A Secondary - Red B Route - Orange B Route - Yellow Local Main - Yellow Local - White Local Street - White I also finally found the London Map I have. It is the Premier Map London A-Z I really like this map. The colour scheme used in it is: Motorway - Blue A Route - Orange B Route - Yellow Local - White Based on the above, this is my new idea to translate the route classifications into SC4 terms: Motorway - Blue [universal] Dual Carriageway (ie Avenue) - Orange [A Route from Premier London Map] Road - Yellow [b Route from Premier London Map] One Way Road - Green or Red [A Route based on streetmap.co depending on which colour appears best in game] Street - White [universal] Rail - Black [universal] Elevated Rail - Grey Monorail - ? I am also trying to make each transport system type clearly distinguishable on the Transportation map window and clearly visible against SC4 terrain. I have finished editing the UI to allow the display of One-Way Roads and Streets in the Legend Window something which was left out by Maxis. Now once I decide on a colour scheme the Mod will be ready for release. I would appreciate any ideas or comments. I'll get some in game pics soon. -
Got to say I third Bokrif's statement: The realism. The transportition. The feeling. The region view.. It is just one of (if not the best) CJ's! Great! [endquote] LOL, Metrobus fare increases, another sad day in Thames. Thanks for the Pro-THAMES (Pro Trains - Halt Auto and Motorway ExpansionS) mention. Great update again, brilliant thinking combining the new Mainsborough Metro Map with Thames Metrobus fare increases. I also like the new addition to the power facility. Now we need to know is it faster taking the more direct Central subway line from Mainsborough Central to the airport or is Thamesrail's Airport Express a better choice

Another nice update. Thanks for the response to us posters, but old style politics, what are socialists?? Anyway, I enjoy the political perspecive in the CJ. Looking foward to seeing a transportation map someday. The variety of buildings really create a great atmosphere and come out well. I like how the Meditteranian midrises go with the British buildings. The rail tunnel next to the concert hall is also a great piece of work. Keep up the great work!

Wow Tkkn Kkinyy Rules! I see even the Chinese use Thamesian. Great use of various picture sizes in the last update and as always the maps clips along with the pictures. It

Red, White, Blue, Yellow, Pink - Happy New Year! (Oops pardon my counting and someone break out the champagne, 5,4,3,2,1 - . . . ) Happy New Year! [Edit - I was wondering if you noticed 'ill tonkso' released London Fenchurch Street Station and London Charring Cross Station - those would sure look great in your CJ]
