Can you link me to where they say they'll be doin' the ditch diggin'? If region/terrain design isn't an option for us, forget the game. 4 gave us terraforming, 5 shouldn't be taking that away, but expanding on it. But, on topic; they should include basic plains-style maps for beginners and such. Also should include a region creator.

I'll pay the $60 toll, but I won't be installing it as it requires Origin. I'll find a non Origin copy and use that. And I definitely won't be buying digital or digital deluxe unless Maxis can get it on Steam.. but EA will not allow that or general happiness. Good luck with that.

Vanilla isn't boring! It keeps you busy trying to fix traffic problems AND WHY ARE THESE SEMIS ONLY USING STREETS WHEN THE AVENUE IS CLEAR!?!?!?! After installing NAM I find the game much easier... almost too easy. I am very much enjoying these interchanges & I have yet to make use of all the traffic things. Vanilla was predictable in it's unpredictability; with mods it's just logical... and it scares me.

I'm sure Maxis has payed attention to what the modders & CXL has done. I just hope they stay far away from anything resembling SC:S and I hope EA has little input. Lmao. Hopefully they implement roundabouts all around; they're used a lot more in the US these days... much cheaper and safer than stops. Being EA I'd fear them making much use of expansions (or as they are these days, DLC). However, if the game is mod friendly, I can see them only sending out a pack (like Rush hour) and leaving us to our own devices.

I've been playing SC4 off and on for a long time and 2/3000 before that. I have never used mods though... wasn't aware there were until last year or so. I've stayed away for simplicity sake - the last few installs (luckily not this one) would crash randomly and that killed gameplay for me. I've been lurking here for a bit but never noticed the journals, but it wouldn't bore me - I'd be more interested. The only mod I want is for a better traffic algorithm - the stock one is EDIT: Oh look.. first post.
