From what I've seen, I'd give SimCity at E3 a solid...Meh. Maxis said that they would show why the online requirement was necessary at E3. This is what I was waiting to hear. I'm not worried about the simulation side (although I'm a bit worried that the cities look a tad small). I wanted to know why the always online "feature" was so great, and it seems the answer was "Because that's how we built it."

First post to the site, so here's as good a place as any to get started. My vote was based on whether I would purchase the game with the information I have now. That being said, I gave it a 1; I would not spend money on this game. If EA made the decision to pull the Origin requirement, I would push it up to a 2. I would wait-and-see about buying, but I would not make a decision until after I returned from deployment as I'm not spending money on a game that I couldn't play for 9 months. Remove the always online requirement and it jumps to 4 and I'd set out to find somewhere to pre-order.
