Mute City, modelled after one of the racetrack cities from SNES F-Zero game. 1.3 million people right now. I admit I cheated by using the Super Demand Mod. But it looks damn cool! I also used avenues to build the game's raceway throughout the city, which is cool to drive the Rush Hour cars on.

Roadwork: Jughandles, Oneway-to-avenues, road overpasses, single highway exits

Ony problem is that the custom highway exchanges only come in elevated form. I prefer to use ground highways. Also, the Y-section avenue is great, but I could use a highway version. Ah well. The custom ramps and roads-over-roads make up for it! -

hi all. I'm new here and this is my first post. I have been to the site a few times and I hope to become an active member of this community. First, I would like to say that I really am enjoying this site. I have sampled some mods and I think your work is outstanding. I have a few ideas that I would like the throw out, and if I may, post some pictures (small filesize bitmaps) of transportation thingies that I have come to know and love here in New Jersey. I wouldn't know where to begin to make these in the game, but here are my ideas. 1. JUGHANDLES A lot of main road in NJ have jughandles, where if you want to go across the street, instead of making a left turn you have to drive two miles out of your way, hang to the right, and then turn around to make a left. 2. ONEWAY-TO-ANEVUES I hate it when I try to connect two one-way roads to an avenue because I have the little stub of the avenue end that sticks out. I want to be able to have traffic either be able to get on or leave the avenue in a Y-shape, but not loop around the avenue. Here's a pic of what I mean. 3. ROAD OVERPASSES Something you come across more often than you realize is a road crossing over a road. No need for picture . 4. SINGLE HIGHWAY EXITS Ok if there should be just one of my ideas that could make it I think it should be this one. Highways should be able to have single on/off ramps like they did in the previous SimCities, and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't have kept this other than they thought it would be too much work. but lets realize that if you want to make a realistic city (or as I like to do, make cities from maps), not all of the highway exits have all of the interchanges. Some have single on/off ramps, others have single cloverleafs with no ramp. 5. SPURS with LOCAL/EXPRESS LANES Ok this may be getting a bit too involved as it can be done with roads. But I invite anyone who is interested to look here, and check out the SPUR of I-80 and I-280 in New Jersey here on MapQuest. First of all, that SPUR is really cool. Also, on Route 80 all the way from the SPUR westbound to 287 there are two local lanes (which eventually get off onto 287 which goes over 80) that run parallel to 80. It would be neat to have singular slide on/offramps so that this could be accomplished using one way roads put along side highways.
