  1. How much do you crave for SimCity 5?

I can't begin to explain how much I want this game. And I meant exactly that when I clicked it.
  2. SimCity: Transit and Roading Networks

That is one of the saddest things. This game is supposed to grow in scale and scope, not shrink itself into tiny pebbles. When you look at the best City Journals, they're always about a small country or a county/province with lots of towns and cities interconnected into a beutiful region. I hoped for the next Simcity to enhance this experience.
  3. SimCity: Transit and Roading Networks

true. i always think that it is better to do something properly rather than rushing things (im not suggesting maxis and ea are being prudent here, im merely hoping).
  4. SimCity: Transit and Roading Networks

It may just be my wishfull thinking but I understood that, if they dont get them in the initial release, it will come via the expansion, a la SC4 Rush Hour style.
  5. when the new simcity was announced i think that everybodies (mine certianly) reaction was. 'Cool! It's gonna be Simcity Rush Hour with the coolest additions from the STEX but with new graphics and then when you zone against a diagonal road the zone will align with it, and...' When I look back I remember I havent played much simcity 3000 because it was so much different to the 2000 and I didnt really like it. SC4 was good, but it was vastly improved with rush hour. After years of community modding it became the game we now play and expect to be bettered by SC5. It's not gonna happen. They're making a new platform for Simcity and it looks like it's going to follow SC4 path - initial release then a expansion to implement whatever functionality they couldnt implement in the initial release ('Rush Hour mk2' if you will) What I hope for from this iteration of the game is to at the very least enable the same, if not greater flexibility SC4 has given us. I dont really mind aboout the terraforming as long as we are given some sort of way of creating regions other than paying for them through the DLC. My biggest fear with the game is that it will lose the grand scale allure of (single player) region play and be drowned with The-Sims-like customizations that is, frankly, rubbish. Otherwise I'm more than happy to stick with the Simcity that I enjoy now
  6. Train/Road crossing cuts off traffic network

Thank you Tarkus, LHD drive plug-in solved the problem.
  7. Train/Road crossing cuts off traffic network

I only installed the latest version, that is - I installed the game, downloaded latest NAM, installed it (I considered that it should contain everything it needs to work). Later I realized that I didn't install official patch that came out for Rush Hour, maybe that is problem? (I have sc4 deluxe edition - not sure if that one contains the patch). Will try running it for couple of years (I read somewhere that some changes take anywhere from 6 months to 8 years to be incorporated)
  8. Hello all! I'm pretty sure this has been answered before, but I just couldn't find the solution (or the question for that matter) using the search option. Here's the thing... Whenever I make a road-train track crossing (whether a ground crossing or using train/road puzzle pieces or even overpasses) my traffic network seems to be cut at that point - all road traffic that was happily going to the neighbor city simply no longer "sees" the road network past the crossing and uses the neighbor connection on the other side of the map that doesn't have a train/road crossing... I have only installed the latest NAM (dated 2011)
