The Tsarlack islands were discovered in 1492 and first settled in 1521 by Portuguese colonists. The British took control of all the islands in 1597. Tsarlack gradually gained independence from the UK through its territory in different stages spanning from 1911 to 1937. The Tsarlese people staunchly supported the Allies against the Axis powers through World War II. Tsarlack is a multiethnic nation that embraces western cultural values. The State of Tsarlack is a representative parliamentary monarchical regime and due to its unilateral status, does not seek recognition by the established states of the world. The State of Tsarlack remains neutral in all international matters. It is now a special administrative region of the EU
